[Questions] Affiliate Redirection From Page is Good or Bad

Hi Guys..

Thanks for reading it, I got a question which keeps on killing me in my mind whether I should do it or not..

After Google Penguin, some people says redirection and cloacking is a negative SEO ranking factor.

I know that if you cloack your affiliate link and white label your URL than it is a problem.

I know that if somebody exit the website and does a automatic redirect to affiliate link than it is a problem and might effect SEO ranking..

But if we do redirect our affiliate link from our website and showing the affiliate link as URL in the browser address, DOES THIS IS A NEGATIVE EFFECT TO SEO RANKING.

As Google also said that not to do redirection/cloaking, so the question is what redirection they are talking about.

Does Any one Here use Pretty links plugin in wordpress as redirecting your affiliate links affected your SEO ranking, are you still ranked from your keyword, if you say yes than I will assume that it is fine..

if redirection affiliate links is a negative factor for SEO than using affiliate links with anchor text, is it find with Google cause I have again heard that Google does not rank well if you have affiliate link with it..

I hope guys that, you got my questions, waiting for a great answer which will solve my bug in my mind..

Waiting for answer..

Thanks
Alam

Hey Alam,
Ask yourself the following question..
How would Google know it is an affiliate link?

I don't think it is a big deal to be concerned with since you are most likely using your affiliate link once on each page anyways.

One form of reassurance is that you can add rel="nofollow" within the link so Google will no pass your link juice to the affiliate link.

Thanks Jay, I have seen your sites and you have not used any redirection for any affiliate.. I think re="nofollow" is good way to tell Google not to pass link juice.. but do you believe nofollow tag anyway..

Alam, I have the same question, if you do use redirection will it have a negative inpact on your site? Thanks for bringing this up.
