Today is the Day
I think it is important to make promises to yourself so that your are accomplishing your goals. Goals can be divided into two: short term goals and long term goals. Long term goals can be what the bigger picture holds for you . An example of this is buying property, holidays and growing your business to a profitable organisation. Short term goals will help you achieve these goals on a monthly,weekly and daily timeline.
It is also important that you have a plan. There no use saying 'I want to be rich'. Being rich means different things to different people. Most people talk in monetary terms. A sick persons needs care and attention to get better,their goals are different to a person that is in full health.

You're right about the tendency people have to make things into competition with each other; while a little competition can be a good thing, it can also be very destructive. That's one of the things I like about this community, it seems to have a healthy balance!

We all must go from saying "I want" to making a plan and sticking to the plan. At times we must review our plans to become successful and change them where necessary. You are so much further along than most because of your previous experience. Just load up and go for it. Jerry
