Have you ever tried to put a puzzle together without looking at the box, in the dark, with 23 other people (each with 1 piece) all doing it at the same time?
I attended a fall leadership training class today and this was one of the exercises that we had to do as a group. So yes, it was only a 24 piece puzzle. Not a hard task to accomplish otherwise but what about when you have no idea what you are doing. It's something you've never done before and you don't really even know what the finished project is supposed to look like.
People who have never done marketing or had their own website sometimes feel this way when they first come in to WA. You have no idea what a "healthy" website looks like much less how to get it there, you don't know what all the terms mean that you keep hearing, you try to figure out what you need to click on to customize your site but it ends up looking worse than when you started and you feel like so many other people have all of their pieces together and you don't. Guess what? It's ok.
By continuing with the certification courses and the lessons, eventually you will get to the point where you feel like you aren't blind anymore. Everything will start to take shape and you can get your pieces together. By listening to the experience and advice of others in the community, you can gather the pieces you have been missing and things will start to click.
You don't have to stay in the dark. You can get this puzzle figured out and make your dreams a reality :)
