I created a Gift Ideas page and want to put affiliate and suggestion with picks and links there but have no clue where or how to do it. I want that in there before anyone looks
Before you can add any products on your site you will have to join some Affiliate companies that supply the type of goods you want to promote.
Type into the search bar og google "Gift Ideas+Affiliates" (Without the speech marks) and you will find a host of companies thatwill offer Affiliate programs.
Hi - adding affiliate links is covered in Level 3 of the training. It will be a long time before your site ranks high enough in Google for anybody to see it, so don't rush ahead, as you may miss out something important in the training.
When you go through the training it will mention Affiliate Commission groups like awin.com or commission junction.
This is where you find businesses to affiliate with. Once you are officially an affiliate they will give you affiliate links to either their page or a specific product.
In the case of Amazon, Amazon will give you code that you can copy and paste into your site directly. Just make sure to paste it so that WordPress will consider it code and not text you want for a blog post.
I did join Amazon's affiliate program. I wanted to have a few coffee subscription services also. I will google affiliate gift ideas+coffee and see what comes up. Thank you so much.
