Social Media Week Results

Hello WA community!

This week I've been focusing on social media. So far I have:

- created a Twitter account and consistently published tweets (30 followers so far)

- created a Facebook page for my website

- created a Pinterest account and created some boards

- published on my other social media accounts, such as Instagram

The most successful endeavor of these 3 has been my Facebook page. I've reached over 1,500 people and have 977 post engagements. The most interesting thing about this, to me, is that my post with images had the most engagement by far. I created an album with images from my articles and added links to the articles in the captions. I got 35 link clicks and 85 other clicks versus a total of 10 clicks on the second most popular post.

This seems to be very telling. Images are getting way more responses than articles and texts. I should probably focus on Pinterest (definitely my weakest social media area) and continue the emphasis on images in my Facebook posts to direct traffic to my website.

Is anyone here a Pinterest whiz? Would you care to share some wisdom to a noob? That's where I'll be directing my focus this next week while I continue my social media exploration. Thanks for reading!

Great work Jenny!

Most people are visual folks, so images will almost ALWAYS attract attention before the printed word.

Oh yeah on social media, images are everything. They help with your engagement on your site, but it's on social media it's huge for engagement. Sounds like you're making great progress. I haven't used Pinterest, so sorry I can't help you there. You could try the search bar and see if you find some good training.
