Poor Reasons To Enroll MLM Opportunity From My Experience
Do you ever heard of "MLM"? Multi-Level Marketing can be a great way to earn everything from a small additional income to a generous full time living.
I have been in few MLM “houses” offline platform before and all of that through friends invitation.
What I have wonder most throughout, the way they invited us without telling us the where and what we are heading to? Most of the time they are talking about some “very good opportunity that they just can't revealed until we agree to the invitation. It is some sort of taboo that you only know the whole scenario once you are around “MLM house”.
Through the times, I have developed this kind of bad feeling towards “MLM”. It is due to the way they approached us towards the business and the system. However, just like everything we face in our daily life, there are still a lot of good of MLM. You have to judge that yourself.
Just like me previously, many people join mlm type opportunities without really knowing what they are getting themselves in to. For me this is one of the biggest reasons for the fact that some people have very low, negative, or bad thoughts about this type of business.
Just like, yes I use “just like” words to relate everything towards or daily life juggernauts, to talk about MLM still can works when we do it right. Period.
Here I share several really poor reasons for enrolling MLM opportunity. Guys, I can't argue more about what you are about to learn next, lol, it is like one “standard practice” from what I have experienced before. But, as I said, I leave it to you to judge, folks.
1-Short Period Of Time Earning Monetization (Monetary/Profits)
From my own experience and through reading offline and online, MLM testimonials always, to go something like this:
“Only in my first month I made $800 and now, in my third month, I have been able to quit my job and so on.” Terrific as I am suppose to enjoy the paradise of the world anywhere if everything is just like what have been said in testimonials. Hahaha. I thought I am less luckier guy in the world.
While not outright lies, testimonials like these are usually collected from individuals who, through luck or skill, managed to join this particular opportunity from the very beginning.
They are simply the MLM Experts that knew exactly the “secret recipes”, way of doing things called MLM and alredy the top of the pyramid.
They have this kind of MLM opportunity life cycle that rapidly grow in the beginning. Relatively with little effort in the cycle and phase of explosive growth, dozen sponsored of new people daily and easily. Something entirely new with one well-placed ads do the wonders.
As I testified, more often than not always in after the initial explosion, difficulties is for sure in term of no quick results, more wasting time effort to go far and further in the business and attract new “links”. Although we need all the requirements of the patience, knowledge, and the good right strategy, I found it is always worthless.
2- "Easy Peasy Money" Earning Flows
What I have ever heard and learned though the times, promoting MLM business as a simple 1-2-3 process, everyone and anyone can do, and a bashing to your ears of becoming an instant millionaire. MLM company or business are very good at this, lol. Not only online but also offline, as I said, “standard practice” to use very very long with over hyped sales letters or promotions, always over hyped.
An equivalent of claiming every super gifted and talented footballers are the special “tin opener”.
While anyone who can open a can of beans can be a Master Chef of the World!
Don't get me wrong, I also saw few people that succeed in MLM if they put their minds to it. Make no mistake about that as you must be prepared to learn one too many new things and enormous work required for it.
3- Program That Always Got “X Big Name” Endorsed
This is the method that so anciently used and never tiring to show “X Top Shot/Earner” hit million of dollars with the program opportunity. I can say once I fall to their fame method of “telling anyone it is so EASY, folks! No lying either, EASY for him, may be, but for mass of people?.
They probably, as I did few observations, got involved of the opportunity long before it was launched during the pioneering time. They already sits and knows all the right people.
They know their stuff, this know-how expertise, coupled with advanced resources, and they are those in small group of efficient people efficiently let the word out to mass of people.
From my own experience and exposure, this is very bad idea, indeed, to assume an instant fortune could be pulled off feats worthy of a network marketing guru.
Can any Pro footballer compare their ability with those Pro tennis player and vice versa? NO! It is like Ivan Lendl (he was my all-time favourite tennis player) talk to media on his football ability as good as Diego Armando Maradona!
4- Thinking Mentality That The Product So Great Sell Itself
What a classic mistake with the fact that is so difficult to swallow. Until recent times, I acknowledged most MLM systems are not about the product. It is about the system. One that very familiar to me is the “Pyramid Systems” of downlines. The more you are “downlines” the pecking order, the more you are actually out of order.
Normally, through any mistake or bad moves I did, I will immediately cut the loss. Even in any business venture, we can't avoid losses. But through my early banking and financial career education, I learned about to cut any loss at earliest opportunity. The disappointment was huge when I discovered the truth - some people even made fun of any attempt to mention this great new thing I had discovered.
In lifetime, by following Manchester United since the first day Sir Alex Ferguson in the office, 26 years of his stay at the football club taught me how he immediately cut the lossess from bad moves or investment.
No matter what you are selling in MLM, even products they championed with all the contains of every mineral and vitamin under the sun, network marketing is what really all about and you need to learn this first.
5- Wonder Work Done Through "Spill Over"
Early MLM opportunities, those pioneering days, are built on a "forced matrix" system method. This what I called “the Pyramid System” earlier, make no mistake, it is just unofficial term for my own understanding, lol.
As per example here, in a 3x9 matrix, when you have sponsored your three first new appendage, the quarter will be placed under the first someone you sponsored. This is how someone has thus increased on someone in their entire downline scheme.
Now, some companies would have you believe that their top recruiters are so effective that the consequence from their commercialism will automatically shuffle you, who is the connection at the very underside right now, a blink of an eye success.
This is simply a tube dream- it will never happen. Yes, you probably will get a few “downliners” into your downline, but nowhere near enough to guaranty your success. The swerve breadth of the matrix on your degree way that there is a tremendous total of representatives that will have to deformation any total of consequence.
In this paragraph I share what I have seen in a year or two based on my observation and direct experience that happened not far ago, but in general only. I am here not to hampered someone or some organisation way of business working. For me, in some country, it is the community own mistake for not acknowledging really care how technology help everything evolving through digital concept.
One affiliate provider somewhere not really comes to the term on what affiliate marketing as we know today. The matrix system is no longer in single “pyramid tree” anymore. It is in separation through all of their business working plan. The floor plan and business attraction are presented before me and still in forcing way. Politely I refused “the opportunities” by questioning how on earth suppose this affiliate opportunity to help any individual or small business grow with minimal cost but instead they presented asking for big sum
And who says the top recruiters are as combat-ready as they once were anyway? The basic system is still there, the base that seems pionereed to keep evolving but need a bit longer “stoppage time” before them as “the force” is “awakens” in the different platform etc, The work on revising the method to keep evolving as time goes, the excavation is actually on something else entirely. It is due to their recent time financial gain in this particular chance is already barred.
6- Thinking MLM A Free Business To Run
This is not a conversation about the membership fee of your MLM chance here because that is a given. But many multitudes falsely believe that they can commercialize entirely for costless using the net.
While it's true that there is some effectual low monetary value net selling method you can use, you should never fool yourself into the basic cognitive process that net selling will be a no monetary value matter. Moreover, the online contest is usually quite ferocious.
The Conclusion And Summary:
- Mlm can offer an exciting new way to earn money.
- The motivation for joining a mlm business shouldn't be based on one of the misconceptions mentioned above.
- Treat your business like a business, and you will be okey.

I have "lost the bank" on more MLM's than I can recall. Overall, it is a very long row to hoe in my experience. That is exactly why I am at WA at present... to learn a new way of doing things without doing "near" illegal marketing.

I actually love MLM's... did quite a few of them including Amway!
Problems is that you have to spend so much personally each month in order to qualify to receive your take from your downline's income.
The real problem is that there's very few of them with products that you can show prospective recruits that actually make a difference in your life in a short enough time whether it's Amway's Nutrilite vitamins or Essential Oils form Young Living.
I still love the MLM model, I just can't find one with a decent product that will pass my wife's inspection.
Talk about Amway, I can say their program is good as the vitamins stuff etc is great for the daily supplement. I am only one of the former customer of their vitamins line of products. But in term of MLM stuff of things, I can never hold any longer all the program process and progress before you can earn your right for the income streams.

Let me share one sick truth moment how far these MLM people will go and take to survive through the medium they are accustomed to. End of last year, due to the booming of all the things about "affiliate opportunity" around the world, one local affiliate medium is starting the business "online and offline" in the local scene market.
Co-incidently, I was introduced to their platform and what disturbed me from the early introduction, every level is a hefty investment cost as low as 1,000 bucks to the level called regional affiliate level at 20,000 bucks (at first, they woe me for this level ability to expand for regional countries market, when I "play the music" next day investment will arrive, their tones changed drastically that I can't join the delegation as the group already "selected" and the parties for only "specific people".
The best of the beast, if I wanted to get the full program review and brief introduction, 3 times a month business conference talks are hosted in a huge conference center that every reserved seat we booked is priced at 129 bucks each. Old tricks never die when their elder statement try to "lock" a deal push me to sign up the pre-agreement form and the first "pre-agreed" sign up have this absurd clause of minimum deposits.
I have to give them some telling-off, "you fools every 1,000 attendees per meeting, 3,000 pax per month but not one fool standing before you today", to ensure I survive their onslaught approach that day,
Wow... sounds like MLM's have really evolved. That is definitely sick... $1,000 to get started is absolutely disturbing. I'm familiar with absurd upsells once you're in but this is just ridiculous.
I'd say that one would deserve an in depth review!!!

MLM's are just another way to market things, But it seems there are a LOT of scams with that marketing concept, more than other sales concepts, so you have to be careful. First you have to know that the products will NEVER sell themselves, otherwise they wouldn't be trying to get YOU in to sell for them, So make sure that product is something viable, not just Raccoon Repellant. Also, you have to realize it's a numbers game. For every ten people you approach, one will be interested. For every ten people you sign up, 3 will be successful, three will end up being only a customer, and four will fail miserably and then each of those four will tell eleven people that the particular one they tried is a scam. And in order to approach ten people to get one in, you're going to run out of friends really quickly and then you'll have to approach complete and total strangers. The people who do good in MLM's are the people with hundreds to thousands in their personal network; friends, relatives, business associates, etc. But there are good MLM's out there, just few and far between! This is so true and thanks for your elaboration pertaining to MLM related issue. I can't deny about those programs that actually are good. But the one that makes MLM looks bad are too many than the one that actually very good.

I have tried various MLM schemes and it is ALWASYS about the same thing: Spending money and more money to get to a hypothetical success level within the MLM organization. I do agree a 100% that the top guys inventing these products and/or services are the ones benefiting the most. if you are at the end of the food chain and you will be scrambling. Thats point blank and i am talking from experience. I have heard about people loosing their hard earned money and ended up broke because of false promises and straight out lies. The lies and promises are fueled by the hiuman urge to be successful by modeling the people that are already (or maybe it is just faked) successful. it is about perception.
Most often than not before the people in MLM gear up "seducing" me further to take up the more advanced option before the basic option that I am taken at first start the ball rolling, I am more than happy to cut the lost at the earliest opportunity.
Over there alone, even at the basic options that I managed to cut the lost, I still lost at the abundance. One thing that never I forget when former office colleague of my wife, from a nice invitation to the talks session ended up our biggest nightmare afterward.
Most MLM programs are ponzi or pyramid schemes - they rely on new members to fund the commission payments for the people above them in their matrix.
The earlier you get into an MLM, the better your chances of scoring big commissions. But the problem is that the general public often only hear about them when the top tier spots have been filled already.
The worst ones are where you have to pay to be a member because you're out of pocket if you can't drum up people under you.
You can do well at them but you really need to apply some due diligence before joining any of them.
During 2005 to 2009, mostly because of friends' sake, I am coming to see few of MLM offers by "forced". I have never liked MLM business scheme.
Always a reluctant participant, more I learned about those first top liners already occupied by the pioneers or the same MLM old guards.
Also from the experience, I learned how easy it is to lose friendship unforced. Why? What you have mentioned above is the main reason.

Great article on MLM. I like that you put things so objectively. Indeed, people have to see beyond the misconceptions and treat the business as a business. There can be passive income at some point but there is no easy money. All takes hard work and adaptation.
