Creating GIFs with NO length limits or watermarks
I've been all this morning trying to convert a video to an animated GIF without installing any software, i.e. through online cloud services.
Total failure I must say... I've tried several websites (ezgif, makeagif, giphy, imgflip) with no luck. They all offer different features but they all have limitations such as:
- GIF length limit (10 secons max)
- Size limit (360 px width)
- Watermarks
- ...
I seemed like an impossible task to do but then I thought: "WTF!?, we used to use INSTALLABLE software!". So I did the homework and here I'm with a solution to create fully customizable gifs with no limits, watermarks, etc
You need to install to freewares (free software):
Once you have the programs installed you just need to follow the following steps:
- Record your video. I personally use Snagit
- Convert the video to images with the Free Video to JPG Converter
- Use Photoscape "Animated GIF" feature to create your gif out of the images you created before. You can customize it at your will.
- Finally, you need to optimize it in order to reduce the file size. You can do it here: http://ezgif.com/optimize/ selecting the Lossy Gif level 140
That's all. It's an easy process once you know the method and the programs used.

Very nice, thank you, seems like good programs to create gifs, unfortunately, I can't use them for my amazing website tools, I only collect programs which function online, no downloads
Yeah, I understand that. I only install programs as a last resource. In this case, the only way to go free is through those programs, otherwise you would have to pay and that's not always a viable option.
