How do I turn my menu bar into apps ?
I know that I must not be the only idiot to ask this question, but I wanted to ask here on WA before asking (and maybe giving away something new) to the general public.
So, I have a website autopro101.com that I use to educate my readers about the automotive industry. Not to give advice on how to fix your car- been there, done that on fixya.com. where I successfully diagnosed over 3500 vehicle without looking at them. I also did not make a dime doing so.
Now every site needs to be "mobile friendly". My site can be viewed on phones, tablets, whatever. You can see your site by going to http://mobiletest.me.
My site looks like this
Ok, now I am giving advice on things like finding a repair shop (handy if you are broken down out of town somewhere),how to get your car repaired right the first time and not get ripped off, and insider tips on all things about car repair.
You see the "menu"bar , it has drop down submenus that say things like "car owners", "about me",and "reviews". Now, what if I could turn those submenus into apps like Google Maps, Repairpal (a repair shop locater), and AAA's repair shop locater.
Do you think this would be quite the handy thing and make my site look good in the eyes of the Google gods?
I'm using an old Asus laptop built for Win7, but running Win 8.1 without a touch screen (neat trick, eh?).
Does anyone have a clue on how this could be done ? I'm willing to share with the WA community if this is a "new tech gizmo" that I have thought up. Like I said, I cannot be the only idiot that has ever thought of this.
Any takers?
Thanks
Alan

You could do that by linking to those using the 'custom links' feature of menus.
