What I learned traveling the world
What I learned from traveling the world
Travel is my passion.
When I was young I had a dream to visit the 5 continents which come true few years ago then the dream becomes bigger and my dreams now is to visit 70 countries by the age of 70; which I think it’s easy to achieve. I still have 30 countries to visit in 12 years.
Yes I am getting old. Actually I don’t mind getting old. I just hope my body will not take it badly. lol
I started making money and able to have holidays, I used to go t the same places for vacation in Bali and the Islands of Thailand then one day I realized there are much more in the world to see and I decided to visit a different country every year.
People usually ask me what is the best country you’ve been to and I could never pick up a country because each country was beautiful in its own way.
My travel habits changed with time.
First, when I was a student I did backpacking, Then I started going to big cities and enjoying city life. Visiting museums, go clubbing, do shopping, go to musicals, etc.
City life become not interesting especially that I live in Tokyo, one of the biggest cities of the world, Nature was calling me. I love both the sea and the mountains.
My last trips were to the Amazon and to the jungle in Peru and Costa Rica and the Yucatan Peninsula
My next trips will be around Africa South America.
I learned a lot about life and the world by traveling
I love traveling by myself because I notice I always meet people when I travel alone
I learned not to plan too much and to embrace spontaneity
I usually start the day by setting an intention of having agreeable surprises and uplifting encounters and I did have amazing experiences and met incredible people some of them became friends for life
Below are few things learned from traveling
- Forget your stereotype and be open to different ways of life to make the most of the experience.
- People are the same wherever you go and everyone everywhere basically wants the same thing
- The world is kind and people are friendly
- Sometimes life gets in the way and you have to roll with it.
- Don’t plan too much and embrace spontaneity.
- Be grateful because gratitude creates happiness.
- Making new friends is easy and you will never be alone
- You could meet people who become friends for life
- Travel become much easier with the Internet
- Forget you pride and apologize
- It’s very helpful to speak more than English because you will be surprised to see that English is not a universal language even though it might be true in the business world
There is a French proverb which I think is very true that says:
“Voyager est la seule chose qu'on achète qui nous rend plus riche. …"which means “Travel in the only thing we buy that makes us richer…”
Below is the English translation of 2 other proverbs which I like say:
The most beautiful trip is the one you still didn’t do
The world is a book and people who don’t travel read only one page

Your pictures are beautiful...nature provides us with such a diverse world. I imagine traveling and meeting the people adds to the beauty. I've traveled in the US..and that alone provides so much to appreciate.

⭐️ Travel is one of the best educators --if not the Best!
We live in an amazing world and we all need to experience & appreciate all of it -- in this lifetime! ...
Love travel! ... culture, languages, music, food, sun, ocean surf lapping against the shore, seashells, gentle breezes, big tall trees, palm trees, green everywhere, nice well-mannered people, interesting conversation and on it goes, plus ice cream! ...
Enjoy it all -- cheerio... 😊
