A Prayer For Paris

“O’ Lord have mercy on me in my anguish. My eyes are red from weeping; my health is broken from sorrow.” Psalms 31:9

Dear Lord, God, Above all Gods, You are our Father, and I know that you watch over your creation. This is your world. Earth is your footstool. We on earth are people you created. Today we weep at the death of our friends and all innocent people in Paris, but Blessed Father, we can rest assured knowing You are there for us, knowing we can find comfort and peace within You, in the midst of our tears and our grief. Lord, we shout Your praises, because You have turned our mourning into dancing.

Console those of us who are grieving today, give us Your strength, Heavenly Father. Remind us of Your promises, comfort us when loneliness strikes and we feel lost. We pour out our hearts to You today Lord, for we are broken, shattered and weary. We need You, we are crying out in desperation in search of that peace that will soon emerge as we cling to You. Even in the midst of our grief, we declare that all we pray for will come to pass, in Jesus mighty name, Amen!!
