Hi everyone,
Not sure if anyone can help, but I added a plug in and it changed the settings on my site (I foolishly hadn't done a back-up). I have managed to get most of it
Hi,
I would check Appearance > Menus and see if all are okay or need updating.
You can also ask site support for a previous version of your site before the plugin update.
In future to back up site before doing any major changes on your site, you can use the AIO WP Migration or Updraft plugins. UpdraftPlus is a premium and highly recommended.
If it was a plugin change it shouldn't change your menu or appearance it is likely you changed the theme instead. You need to make sure your custom menu is assigned a menu placement, like main or secondary and then it will show up in the position defined in the new theme.
Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly The theme seems to be the same. I have attached images to show what I mean better. On the preview (which is the old version before these changes happened, the menus show), on the other version, you can see the menus there if you look very closely but it's almost like they are in the background and they aren't clear enough to keep it this way. Does that make sense?
Looks like the focus image has been changed from Background to Cover or Full on the main page which would put it in front of the added text or the button but for some reason with the larger out the front image, it is also covering your header and your Menu Bar which were at the top in image 1. This is likely a setting in the theme which theme are you using? I us Generate Press on all my sites and haven't had this issue but someone is bound to be familiar with the theme and plugin.
It’s blossom travel. This is the actual image that comes with the theme so I haven’t even changed anything on there. I even tried changing my theme and putting it back to blossom travel again and it’s made no difference
To revert back to the original version of the theme you need to activate a different theme then delete Blossom Travel and reinstall it. Just activating a different theme won't undo the changes, you need to delete your preferred theme and start again.
First, activate one of the other themes then click on the image for Blossom Travel. You will then be able to see a Delete button at the bottom right of the image.
Sorry if I’m not getting this. Do you mean the image on the header? As when I activated a new theme yesterday it automatically changed the image so that one wasn’t there as an option. Or do you mean that I will see the image for blossom regal elsewhere

Why can't I see my menu anymore on my homepage?

Thanks, Ad-and-Em, for the discussion. Always helpful to see what is going on in the minds of those who are in the know. Me, I am still learning minute bits and pieces as I go. Wishing you good success.

Hi, I am looking for some advice from those who have more experience with this than myself. I have created a podcast and up until now I have added this to my site, with each ep
There is a lots to consider for podcasts and where you will host them and which platforms you will use to distribute them, for me a niche blog can direct people to the podcast if it fits within your niche.
There is a big benefit in hosting podcasts where people can find naturally them and also some offer opportunities to monetize.
So your niche blog should be used to drive traffic to the platform. For podcasts to work they need to have a clear niche which fits with your blog and a great title! Good luck ...the growth in podcasts is amazing right now but the majority fit the 80/20 rule, best, Phil
Thanks for your reply. The blog and podcasts are for the same niche and very much correlate. My question was more so that the platform I host my podcast on suggests setting a wordpress podcast site for it and it takes you through that process. So should I do this, and then link from my blog website to that one, or should I continue adding the individual episodes to my blog site on my podcast menu?
If its within your niche you can add them to your site no problem, I suppose my point was are there other platforms that could help people find your podcast.
So if effective you could do both.
Some podcast platforms also help you monetize them.
Depending on your blog reach of course.
So for example you would want it listed on spotify and itunes for eg... and then sell sponsorship or run ads where appropriate.
I suppose I was making the point of "reach" of your podcast? Hope that makes sense. Phil
That’s pretty simple to figure out. If your niche is nothing to do with your podcast, you would need to create a separate site for it. In other words, any content you add to your site has to be related to your niche. If your blog is about dog food, it makes no sense that you add episodes about personal development.
Tom
Sorry if i wasn't clear on this. All of what I am doing is related to my niche, so the podcast supports my blog or visa versa.

Hi, you may want to contact support for a resolution

Details like domain webmail or forwarding to mailbox details. Yep you need support to look into it. They are fairly responsive.
Ok i will wait for that then as nothing has changed from before so can't see that anything would need changing on that front. thank you :)

Hi everyone, I have just started dooing some podcasts and am using Anchor to do this. Does anybody know how I can then add these as a section within my website please?
Hey Adam,
Upon seeking out their website, I see there are several options provided to their users, in which "Sharing your podcast and growing your audience" is one. See 1st screen print below...
That link took me to their instructions shown in 2nd screen print below... and outlined by me in red... with arrow pointing to the relevant paragraph.
Podcasting cannot be easy, so congratulations for being what I deem to be brave.
Hope you find this helpful.
