How I Quit My Job
See this picture above, that is my resignation letter I turned in on August 15th this year and I fired my boss and quit my job at Staples.
Because I was leaving for my trip to Maui the following week I decided to leave a bit earlier I was totally DONE! DONE! DONE!
I said to myself, "Time for me to live my life on my terms!"
Oh yes! let me dish...
About a year ago I had to go back to the workforce because I was in a terrible financial situation where I couldn't afford much of anything.
I couldn't afford to buy me new clothes, new car parts and repairs, new shoes for my child, new bicycle, new vacation, the utility bills, visit my parents, visit my brothers, buy medicine, get my teeth fixed, my college school loan, and even a date night with Rich.
Having a job kept me comfortable because I was okay with knowing I had a weekly paycheck. I was comfortable knowing I had some sort of job security, (ehmmm.. doesn't exist).
I was comfortable with my daily commute to work. I was comfortable with my co-workers and loved seeing them everyday but the job itself was exhausting and painful to my body.
If you ever worked as a cashier or floor sales associate you know those steel floors do a number of hurt on your feet, legs, and lower back.
I'm sure you can relate.
But here is the thing all that changed when I decided to stop thinking like an employee and start thinking like an entrepreneur by getting uncomfortable.
I've always had the entrepreneur spirit inside of me, every time I would go to work I felt like it wasn't the place for me to be.
Do you feel like that when you go to work?
I love this quote by Donald Trump, he said: “Get going. Move forward. Aim High. Plan a takeoff. Don’t just sit on the runway and hope someone will come along and push the airplane. It simply won’t happen. Change your attitude and gain some altitude. Believe me, you’ll love it up here.”
Everyday that feeling hit me hard when I knew I had to go to a job that I wasn't fond of going to and it wasn't easy to shift as a entrepreneur.
But I made it happen and in 5 months of working with our business and I was able to be
the first in the company to earn 6-Figures, quit my job, and travel to Maui, Hawaii with my family.
Now if you have a job, then walk away from your job by doing it smart like I did. I knew it would take time to gain these new digital skillsets and build a 6-Figure income it just came quicker than I can imagined so I pretty proud of what me and Rich did.
You never want to leave a job before you become successful that is insane and if anyone tells you do that don't listen to their amateur advice. I'm telling you to keep it and change your mindset like I did by taking the funds that is left over after all your bills are paid and set aside a marketing and advertising budget.
Take that money and put it into your business for self-education, tools to run your business, creating and running ads.
My advice to you as you're reading this is do not settle for what the status quo expects of you. You are deserve better than that, your significant other deserves better and your kids deserve better.
Take action and get focused on your vision, hone in it like a laser beam and do not look back.
I love to hear from you and connect, leave a comment below of your thoughts about today's blog post.
our destiny is waiting for you to show up...
Cheers to our mutual success!

Amazing story. I can imagine were l could be, if l worked on my websites 9am - 5 pm. Posted articles to my websites without fail and l needed a plausible explanation if l fail to do so. If l say l am sick, l would need a doctor's slip... lol.
The problem is, once l quit my job l developed the 'You are your own boss mentality' leading to laziness. That very tendency to rest before l become tired. Thanks for sharing, from 1 October, 2016 l am adopting a new approach. Watch this space... 6 figure here l come!
Congratulations on achieving your goal. I hope to be there one day as well. One thing at a time, no matter how long it takes to understand it.
This is awesome. I was feeling the same way and I worked at a place for 12 years. I felt stuck and knew if I stayed any longer, it would affect my health and felt life was just passing me by. They let me go in Jan 2016. Worked somewhere else to get let go. So now, I'm taking that leap. I am really inspired by your story. Thanks so much for sharing, my WA pal
LOVE LOVE THIS LETTER!!!!! I cannot wait until i can do this! I am giving myself maybe 2 years before i can completely walk away from my day job!!!! Your letter just inspired me to keep going! May i ask if you did any other marketing besides your websites with WA? Ever since i started WA i get contacted by other MLM marketers all the time to join their company, so i was curious if that was something you did lol. Great post, thank you so much for sharing!!!!! :)
To be completely honest we accomplished our success before joining WA in our own business. The reason we are here is because we never stop learning and continue to invest into our own education. There are helpful tools and resources here in WA so to us it made sense to purchase to additional tools in case we have any learning gaps to fill ;)
ok got it!!! Well that is awesome news!!! Its so inspiring to see everyone living their dream!!!!!!! :)
