Finally getting back up to speed! Or, why big brothers rock
Hi everyone! As some of you might've noticed, I hadn't really been around for the past few months. It would be easy to think that I just didn't have the time for it anymore, but that's not the case at all.
The real problem was with my laptop. For the past several months, it already had slight issues with freezing up, but in the past two months alone, it was getting worse than ever before. And my time on this website wasn't the only thing that suffered either--there is an incredible number of websites I hadn't been on in a long while because SOMETHING would set my poor computer off and cause it to bog down to the point of me just throwing in the towel and closing out of everything. My dad tried to help me as much as possible, but he could only do so much since he wasn't sure what the problem was.
Enter my older brother, Dustin. About a week ago, he, his wife, their two beautiful kids, his mother-in-law, and his niece were all down here from Wisconsin to visit with us and explore south Louisiana a bit before they headed up to the Smokies. He has started going to school to learn to work with computers and repair them, and so he graciously offered to help work with my laptop during their downtime at the hotel. We looked through it together and since neither of us could really find anything that was causing the problem, he showed me how to do an almost total factory reset on my laptop, and that's what I did. It was a pain to go through reinstalling Windows 8, setting it up, downloading many, many updates that I needed to before I upgraded back to 8.1, download more updates, and redownload the programs I needed to (luckily all my files had been backed up to an external hard drive so they weren't lost), but for the past few days, my laptop has been purring like a kitten.
So, with much thanks to Dustin, I think I'm ready to go back to work on here and really get my website up to speed and hopefully start earning a little money. I'd love to be able to at least earn a nice hundred or so by August, since my birthday is that month and I hope to go to the American Girl store in Houston. That's the one closest to me since there isn't one in Louisiana.
And to everyone else here...I've missed you!!!!! I hope you all have been doing very well here on WA. I can't wait to start catching up and checking out everyone's blogs and websites while also working on my own. Also, expect to see more blogs from me in the future, including tips on how to just focus on your work!
God bless and rock on,
Alisha

Welcome back Alisha! :)
Get them fingers workin' ^^
Thanks! Over the next few days, I sure plan to, but it's tough since I also haven't been feeling too well. It's been going on for a little while now. I hope I can go to the doctor soon, it looks like it may be neuropathy and I wouldn't be surprised if it is.
