ALLNESS is not reality. It is a sad case of brain disconnect.

I would like to share a sickness the mind has but little have observed. It's called, "ALLNESS!" Now I know most here have not heard of this flaw. I know you're think, you're making this up pal. I understand. No really what does this seven letters mean that I'm making a big deal over.

Fair enough! I will share with you why it is!

See folks, misunderstandings, fights between people, racism, angers, hatreds are caused by this one reason and that is "Allness." To me the meaning of allness is to think in absolutes the brother is "extremes." Seeing things in "Black and White." No inbetween thinking. No grays, sorry. This way of thinking, I believe will lead to disappointment even dealth.

See when the mind is closed to the universal truths of reality whatever that might be trouble is right around the corner.

Take for example, You're at a road intersection with traffic lights ahead of you. You see the light turns green, so what you do? You cross that intersection without any second thought. So as you cross the intersection a truck slams into you. Whose fault is that. You have every right to say that damn truck driver is wrong. So true, can't fault you for that but you are now in the ICU of a hospital and wrapped up your broken bones. Did your decision forsaked you. Yes! You did make the right decision. But the reality is that truck just messed you up bigtime.

That is just a small example of ALLNESS. You thought you were free to cross because the green light said to, but that truck driver forgot to stop or for reasons only he can say.

I know it's a bad example but what I"m trying to say is 'BE HERE NOW!" Look around, instead of going through the intersection, look around to see if it's OK. Why did this happen? The mind of yours thought it was right, all green traffic lights means I go into the intersection, but you got hurt. OUCH!

OK, so how does this apply to the other bad stuff you talk about? Hello!??

Allness means every "good or bad" experiences one encounters the mind puts it somewhere in the tape recorded memory. Nothing gets trashed. Every event that is experienced are grouped and bagged together. It will show it's ugly head whenever it sees sameness or allness.

Well this is my opinion my friends, views can be challenged I welcome that. To me the mind is made up of past experiences, beliefs and many other things. What is so bad about that you ask? To start with, does it apply to what is real. The answer is NO! Here is what I believe is the problem. The mind can only learn from past experiences and it wants to fit everything into cubby holes. You want to think of this or that, the mind will give you the answer that came from that cubby hole.

So if the mind have only these experiences of the past, I believe it has a disconnect with the present reality.

How does this apply to you now that I hope you can agree the mind screws up your thought processes. BE OPEN AND KNOW TO THINK IN ALLNESS OR I WOULD SAY ABSOLUTES WILL LEAD YOU TO WRONG DECISIONS, etc.

Love your views on this. Share your thoughts, you can tell me I'm weird. I have no shame!

Mahalo and Aloha to you my friend!

That certainly is one side of the cube...but there are others. I think we have to be laser focused with no distractions in achieving our goals. Each situation needs to be approached differently.
Debbie

True, couldn't have said it better. Yes every situation requires a different set of tools. Thank you Debbie, nice to see you again!

Mahalo and Happy Holidays. OH and be safe, crazy drivers are on the road. Take care!

Frank

Hi Frank,
Always a good idea to check your cubby holes for outdated information.
This is a deep subject but always good to keep an open mind and watch before you cross the road.

Cheers Jae

Well said Jae, couldn't have said it better. I didn't have to waste all this verbage when I could've said exactly what you said.

I guess I wasted time that I cannot get back, darn it! LOLS!

Thank you again Jae and to see you again!

Frank

that's the beauty of freedom of thought Frank, You might be right in some things that would I agree with . . But I believe we have an integrated motor that was there even before we were born to know right from wrong it is up to us to use it for the good of ones self. There are a lot of things that interferer in the proses of learning. To be able to shift though it all and come up with the right answers there is a mechanism that will automatically turn on when we least expect it. I call it the light with in. thanks again for your thoughts Linda

Ohh my Linda, thank you for your view. You are correct. Some one here mentioned "righteousness" I did not disagree with her. She like you are correct. She has her meaning and I believe it's your, in my humble opinion.

Awesome post Linda and I thank you for it.

Mahalo and Aloha for dropping in.

Frank

This is an informative post-Frank but maybe I am not understanding it but I always thought that if it is right to do it but I guess that it is time to look at the whole picture instead of just inside the box if I am right I think.

I don't think you are weird by any means just thinking outside the box and looking at the big picture and there is nothing wrong with that at all.

Mary

Mary being "righteous" is great, awesome. That show you have values and that is good. I don't slight anybody who have beliefs, I have beliefs but the problem I'm saying is, I'm thinking of another "allness" mentality.

OK, here's another example here in Hawaii pedestrians have a right to walk across the street. Cars can't cross in front of them when they're within the crosswalk. Now those driver's who want to turn right must wait until the pedestrians are safely onto the curb then they can go. I see pedestrians here in Hawaii stroll across the crosswalk, (take their bloody time) what I see is they have a false sense of security "thinking" that cars won't make their left onto their crosswalk. I have known countless times people get hit by a car crossing into their path.

It would be safer if the ped. keep his eyes open so they can avoid driver's who are not aware they are crossing. To assume that cars will stop for them is an allness attitude by the ped.

Another is fighting occurs between people because both feel they're "right" like Tommy below have mentioned. Instead of one listening and "give-in" two get into a fist fight.

What I'm saying is to question things that we assume. Nothing in life stays "static" the universe is dynamic, ever changing.

We must test the waters before taking action. Question (sometimes) the beliefs in our minds about things may not be what is out there.

Oh boy, I knew this blog would appear complex.

Mahalo Mary for dropping in.

Frank

That is okay Frank no problem I believe I got it now. We are supposed to do the same here with the ped. but they do take their time in the crosswalk and it gets frustrating but there is nothing we can do about it though.

We have to live that I guess. But anyway it was a great post though and I did enjoy reading it. So no worries at all.

Mary

Thank you Mary. learning to communicate, for me, is a complex thing that I'm finding easier as I get more mileage.

Thanks for being there my dear friend!

Have a great day
Tommy

Wow, dang it Tommy I could've written what you said. Would take me OHHHH, five and a half seconds to write.

Thanks for dropping in.

frank =)

An interesting and very different, but informative post, thanks for sharing

Thanks Dave, glad you didn't question my post. Would take another 10 paragraphs of explaining. Whew!

Thank you for your views Dave!

Frank

Hi Frank, you are weird, but it the nicest way. You think outside the box and that's what makes you exceptional. I get what you are trying to say, just because you think something is right, doesn't mean you have to do it. Consider the alternatives and the consequences first. Unfortunately most of us allow our past experiences to dictate how we act.
Thanks again for sharing, Cass

Thank you Cass, you hit in on the head. See folks I'm not that weird. Just slightly weird! lols!

Mahalo Cass, much appreciate your comments.

Frank =)
