Finding the Right Shoe (Niche)
After successful weeks of thinking. I choose my niche, then realized I didn't like it. So I went back to the drawing board to learn more about myself. What did I discover? I love cheese, wine, and living from nothing. Hmmm....that is an interesting group I can say.
Then the next thing I realized as even though I'm working on a blog site. I am still trying to decipher what will work best for me and if I even like what I have done. So the question out there is how do you take a leap of faith on something you have built and still feel that its the best as opposed to adequate? I believe I'm finding that I don't believe in myself.
I used to believe in myself. Where did it go? I think my new mission is to find myself all over again. So my goal is to update and physically get one blog site done.

You are already headed in the right direction. As the others have said, continue the training and think about the things you are really passionate about. Cheese and wine is a good start.
I agree with all your feedback and I like what KatieMac said. Bury yourself in the training and learn as much as you can. The rest will fall in place for you. You will get the urge to put what you have learned to ACTION!!!
Have fun and don't get yourself overwhelmed.
I don't think your "niche" really matters. There are millions of niches, but you want to pick just one to focus on. The important thing is that you love your niche. This will give you the passion to write about it and work hard to help it succeed. Writing articles about low hanging keywords within your niche, is a great way to build traffic.
God bless,
Hi when I joined WA I just simply decided to follow through each and every lesson then before you know your just doing it, go with your passion and put it to the test, if you never try you will never know .. wish you lots of luck
Not to worry. It'll come. I personally like so many things, it was hard to find one as my niche. I had to look deep inside and figure out what my passion was. I started by asking myself what my favorite thing to do was as a child. As a child, your view of everything is still untainted so your true passion can come through. Just a thought.....
I don't think it went any wheres, it's still deep in you! One thing I do know about life is that you have to like yourself. There has been times in my life that I did not like the person I saw in the mirror when I was brushing my teeth. And being the ole' GI that I am, I reached down deep into my boot laces and pulled myself back up. It's not easy, but you have to believe in yourself if you are to succeed in anything. Trying new things, and new adventures are the spices of life. Go for it.
Hmm I definitely understand where you are coming from. And relate. There has to come a time where you just throw yourself into a niche and see how it works out. Domains are so cheap (I get mine for .99 @ godaddy) and with unlimited hosting here, it's okay to pick the wrong niche a couple times.
The good thing is, if you find that the niche isnt for you, you can then turn around and try and resell the domains for a little (sometimes hefty) profit. So your "failure" at choosing a niche, still turned a little profit.
The point I'm trying to make is don't be paralyzed by fear of failure or your lack of belief in yourself. Push through those lies that you aren't or never will be good enough! You can do it, I believe in you!
Can you give me an example of a domain name that you bought for $.99, or is that only available through a special offer?
Thanks,
If you Google ".99 domain godaddy" its always available. Its just not always advertised. Sometimes its wonky and won't give it to you for that price so if you google godaddy coupons you can find a coupon for it.
The great thing about this is that I've never paid more than $2 for a domain.
What do you do about renewing each year? Can you do that through godaddy, and how does that work through WA? This is all new to me.
Thanks,
Renewing I usually look for a coupon code too. It all depends on the deals they are running. I don't usually pay much for domain renewals and to be honest I expect the domain to be paying for itself at that point anyway.

As long as you are writing about something you are really interested in it is the right niche. (doesn't matter if you're an expert or not, you can do research) I'd love to see a website about cheese and wine and living from nothing. Sounds like my perfect life.....
