What Happens When You Achieve Your Goals - Keep Going

Many of you reading this are probably new members to WA or you have been a member for some time now but you still haven't had that financial breakthrough. I get it. I have been there myself. Everyone goes through that.

ONE MUST REPROGRAM THE MIND

It has been said that "Patience is a Virtue." If a person has this kind of patience and a No-Quit mentality, achieving one's goals is possible. You need these characteristics because success via the internet is impossible without them.

Like so many others before me, I thought making a lot of money online was a quick and easy way to get rich fast. You read these stories about gurus and young executives making all this money online using a special system.

Your mind gets programmed into thinking all of these bloated wildly untrue stories are true. How could you not? Big lavish parties with members holding gigantic poster board checks made out to hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Most times when you see pictures and videos like that, those are some form of MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) scam. It helps to know the difference if you should ever want to promote WA and Affiliate Marketing as your niche.

To achieve my goals I needed to reprogram my mind and thoughts about how to manage the slow earning money to expense ratio without going broke. To make money online you MUST treat it like a business "Unique" to you.

SOMETIMES YOUR GOALS CHANGE

When starting a business unique to you, you need a business plan. In many cases that plan should be unique to what is best for you. What I mean is, learn what Kyle, Jay and others on WA are doing and mold it into your approach.

Though you do exactly follow the instructions within the training, you don't have to 100% copy what someone else does. Making your approach uniquely yours based on the training and guidance, will help you to reach your goals.

Every unique business will have its share of unique problems, including your personal life intruding on your time for building your business. This is why it is impossible to tell a newbie member how long it takes to see some success.

My goals have changed over the years based on my experience of making money online either as an eBay Power Seller or an Affiliate Marketer. Regardless of your business plan, be prepared for at least a year before seeing results.

You need to have patience and a desire to not give up. I know affiliate marketing works. I personally know people making money in affiliate marketing. I do this myself with a few different affiliate programs. This keeps my goals in flux.

SMALLER GOALS ARE GOOD STEPPING STONES

Many times when we start an ambitious project, we tend to think big on the size and speed of the outcome. However reality has a way of slapping sense into us. This is why I refined my goals in 2016 and I'm happy to say I reached Goal #1.

Well sort of. Though I am clearly earning $9,000 per month between my regular job and my other affiliate marketing programs, my total earnings from affiliate marketing is closer to $4,400 per month. But that's not bad at all.

Think of how much easier your financial habits would be if you were bringing in an additional $4,400 per month. Wouldn't that be great? Reaching this goal has given me the freedom to coast a bit while I investigate a new niche.

I no longer have that feeling of dread if I should lose my regular job before I decide to quit, which I estimate will be by the end of 2024. I hope to semi-retire somewhere in the western area of North Carolina, in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

This gives me almost two years to grow my affiliate marketing earnings, giving me an even bigger financial safety net. Though I may be coasting at the moment I am certainly not done. My $3,000 a Month PPE niche needs a website.

BRIEFLY REST AND THEN KEEP GROWING

Reaching a goal gives you a bit of an exhale. A pause in the action. However, the more you do now, the better it will be for you in two years. Set smaller goals. Achieving them makes it easier to see success and boosts your confidence.

For me, reaching my goal has given me time to explore new niche ideas. Now that my monthly affiliate commissions are a little bit more than what I make in my day job, I don't have to worry about income. It's like having two paying jobs.

In a nut shell it feels great once you finally achieve a goal. Could I have reached my goal sooner with a higher income? If I didn't waste so much time being socially active instead of building my business at first, yes I would be better off.

This is why I do not like answering newbie questions about how long it will take to see results. There is no definitive time because it happens to everyone differently. Everyone works and learns at different speeds. Success is unique.

It took me 4 niches before I found one that is making me good passive income. The fact I did this without a website makes me more excited about how much more I can make once I create the affiliate website. The future looks good.

If you are looking for a quick and easy way to make money in affiliate marketing, do not become an affiliate marketer. Earning an income will require a long term plan, hard work, some financial investment, patience and determination.

Hi Robert,

Your personal journey is fascinating.

It's inspiring to see your success, and it certainly underscores the fact that patience and a no-quit mentality are indispensable.

Thank you for sharing your experiences, it definitely adds a layer of relatability and authenticity to the entire process.

All the best,
Julia

You are welcome Julia. The road to success will always be different for people. Some feel success is when they can quit their day job and others see success as meeting their short term goals and moving forward. I tend to hold true to the latter.

Great to hear from you again Rob and an absolutely spot on post here!

Having the right mindset, setting smaller goals and realising that our long term goals will most likely change down the line are essential on the road to success in the online business world!

Appreciate the share my friend and enjoy the rest of your weekend! :-)

Thank you Nick. Setting easier goals helps a lot in many respects. I am just happy that I am finally promoting a niche that still has potential to grow even more once I create the website for it.

Enjoy your week.

You're most welcome Rob and it does indeed!

Have a great week yourself and all the very best moving forward with this endeavour my friend!

Hello Robert! I enjoyed reading your post. Your last paragraph sums it up nicely. I am rooting for your success!

Hazel

Thank you Hazel. I am happy you enjoyed reading my post today.

Hi Robert, you are correct about your last paragraph where you state that people should be go into affiliate marketing if they are looking for a $$$$ quickie! It doesn't work that way.

Aha, there it is Robert, you said before that you didn't think your PPE needs a website, and now you are saying it does need one? Have you changed your mind about it? Huh?

You advice to rest a bit and then keep going is good. This is particularly true because we are on no one else's time table.
Jim

Exactly Jim. We are on our own time schedule and taking a break between achieving goals is a great way to prepare of the next goal.
