The Better the "Prompt" the Better the "Post"

The First Time.

When I first started using AI for some of my posts, I really had no idea what I was doing.

The first prompts I used can be compared to the first blogs I did three years ago. As an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher, I thought I was pretty good.

As an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher, I could butter my bread with appropriate nouns, adjectives and verbs and place them in an order that could be understood by all. Even A.I.

Well, understood maybe, but acted on effectively by AI....I still had quite a way to go.

I think my first attempts were along the lines of "Write about teaching the alphabet to 8-year-old Vietnamese students in a friendly tone" When I think about some of the "clap-trap" I asked, my normal neuronic links fizzle and crack with embarrassment.

The More Experienced Raconteur.

Now I take considerably longer to put my "prompts" together. And while I am in no way an expert in "prompt engineering" or "prompt production" the time I take now expresses itself in a much better A.I result.

When I first started I spent very little time in writing my prompts, and "planning them", get a life. Lol.

Now I will spend quite a long time preparing prompts depending on the result I wish to see. Researching what I wanted the prompt to cover took me 30 - 40 minutes.

And then googling up other sites and seeing the results of their research put me on track as to how I wished the final outcome to look. Not that that is guaranteed.

For Example

Maybe this will be better understood with an example. This is what I did today with my prompt for my blog on "Best Blenders for Protein Shakes".

To give you a bit of a back story, this is my 4th blog on "protein shakes" and they are all linked. This post is close to my "end of funnel" blog.

Anyway, here is the "prompt" I used.

Prompt.

You are a nutritionist and have been posting about healthy protein shakes. now you need to provide advice on which is the best blender for making protein shakes at home. I would like you to explain the differences between a professional blender and one for home use. I want you to find the 10 best blenders, based on the number of sales and satisfaction ratings ( Amazon would be a good start). The comparisons between the machines could be, 1. Motor capacity. 2. Power usage. 3. capacity or volume. 4. Options like pulse blending, number of blades, and quality of materials, 5. Ease of cleaning.6. Noise output. 7. Warranty. 8. measurement marks. 9. programming options. 10. price. 11. Dimensions. 12. Accessories. I would prefer if you could do a group comparison as a list, however individual comparisons would be ok too. At the end of the comparison, I would like you to add the benefits of each blender. an example of different blenders could include these blenders. 1. Jusante. 2. Waring. 3. Oster. 4. Nutribullet. 5. Chefman. 6. Universal. 7. Vitamix. 8. Cozii professionall. 9. Cuisinart. 10. Breville. Finally I would like you to list the pros and cons of each machine. Do you understand and do you have any questions? Thanks in advance. Source; Me.

I always like thanking A.I. in case they, it, she, him, who, what...pronouns please people....become our overlords. Lol.

The Answer Given.

The answer from this is only 1 part of my overall post, and even though I used A.I, it has taken a fair chunk of my day. This is part of a total campaign, so the time invested upfront will hopefully be rewarded at the other end.

Prompt Answer

Professional Blender vs. Home-Use Blender
Before diving into specific models, let’s first explore the key differences between professional blenders and home-use blenders:
1. Motor Capacity
Professional blenders have motors with higher horsepower (often 2-3 HP or more), allowing them to blend tough ingredients like ice, frozen fruit, and fibrous vegetables with ease. These motors are typically built for commercial use and heavy-duty blending.
Home-use blenders tend to have motors with lower horsepower (usually between 0.5-2 HP). They’re sufficient for smoothies, protein shakes, and basic tasks but may struggle with harder ingredients.
2. Power Usage
Professional blenders consume more power, often ranging from 1,000 to 1,600 watts or more. This makes them more efficient at blending quickly and thoroughly, especially when dealing with dense or frozen ingredients.
Home-use blenders generally use less power (500-1,000 watts), making them more energy-efficient but possibly less effective at handling larger, harder ingredients.
3. Capacity/Volume
Professional blenders often come with larger containers (64 oz and up) and are ideal for blending in bulk.
Home-use blenders typically have smaller containers (around 32 oz to 64 oz), catering to single servings or small batches.
4. Options (Pulse, Blades, Material Quality)
Professional blenders usually feature multiple speed settings, programmable controls, and heavy-duty materials like stainless steel blades and BPA-free, impact-resistant plastic containers.
Home-use blenders can also have multiple settings, but the blades and materials may not be as robust. They might include features like auto-blend or pulse for convenience.
5. Ease of Cleaning
Professional blenders often have self-cleaning functions or require minimal effort to clean due to smooth, non-porous surfaces.
Home-use blenders may or may not have self-cleaning features, but they are generally easier to clean than professional models.
6. Noise Output
Professional blenders tend to be louder due to their high-power motors.
Home-use blenders are quieter but still noisy compared to some other kitchen appliances.
7. Warranty
Professional blenders usually come with longer warranties (5 years or more) due to their intended commercial use.
Home-use blenders typically offer shorter warranties (1-3 years), but they are often enough for everyday use.
( In this part there is a spreadsheet giving comparisons to 10 different blenders, and this is the part that can take ages to do if you do not have A.I. helping you. Below is a brief look)

Jusante High-Speed Blender
Motor Capacity: 2 HP
Power Usage: 1500W
Pros: Affordable, good motor power for the price, easy to clean.
Cons: Noise level could be better, not as durable as premium models.
Chefman TurboFury
Motor Capacity: 1.5 HP
Power Usage: 700W
Pros: Compact, good value for the price, multiple settings.
Cons: Lower power compared to top-tier blenders.
Cozii Professional Blender
Motor Capacity: 2 HP
Power Usage: 1500W
Pros: High motor power, great for protein shakes, durable materials, affordable.
Cons: Loud, not as sleek in design as high-end models.
Universal Professional Blender
Motor Capacity: 3 HP
Power Usage: 2000W
Pros: Very powerful, durable, great for heavy-duty use and larger quantities.
Cons: Expensive, very loud.

Etc, Etc, Etc

Conclusion
The best blender for protein shakes largely depends on your needs and budget. Vitamix 5200 and Waring MX1000XTX are ideal for those looking for high-end, professional-level blending, but if you're looking for something more budget-friendly, Nutribullet Pro 900 or Chefman TurboFury are excellent choices. Each blender has its strengths, so consider motor capacity, price, and ease of cleaning when making your final decision.

Not all of this post has been included. This is for "brevity"

Finally

It has taken me quite a while to realize the importance of good prompts, and my advice would be to take your time and try some different "prompts" to see which works.

I would also advise you to try different AI writing tools as the results from different AI platforms can vary widely.

I hope this has been helpful.

Yes it really does matter the AI you choose pending what is your own objective. I went through several and have come to realize that AI tend to be more expert per their design. So for example if you need art image probably best to go to one such as Leonardo ! In any case enjoyed the read! Positive Vibes

I use Night Cafe for my images....I like the"arty" feel.

Thanks for the insight, Stevoi!

Thanks Howard
I am very slow at this stuff and most have already done this, however I hope it helps some of the newer pm.

This is interesting. Have you considered a multi step approach? There are different LLMs that do well at different activities. Perplexity or Gemini are good at shopping but Claude or ChatGPT are better at writing

I am learning as I go. Always looking for ideas and then once I get something I don’t understand, I look it up and try it out.
The last one I did, I was surprised I got the group comparison but now that I know what it can do I will use it again.
Next I will incorporate pictures. With the new co-pilot computers coming out all this stuff will converge. Check out my co pilot post..
