Do You Have a Pinched Nerve
When it Rains it Pours
Or at least it does for me in Vietnam. I was just getting over bronchial pneumonia and starting to hit my straps 'workwise" again......When, yep, you guessed it.
I was lying down on our "wooden" Vietnamese deathtrap mockingly called a sofa when I realized I had a bit of a sore back.
Fast forward to 3.30 am when I woke hollering and cussing because, as I thought at the time, someone was stabbing my knees with a knife.
I quickly tried to remember if it was my wife's birthday or our anniversary. But I remembered I had forgotten both of those some time ago, so it must be PAIN. And freaking painful it was.
Now the good thing about Vietnam is you can always get heavy-duty drugs at most times of the day, so off my wife went to her favorite "pusher", the local chemist.
After I got dosed up I started to compare the analogies between a pinched nerve in our bodies to a pinched nerve in business.
Business Pinched Nerves
Sometimes it is the smallest actions that lead to the biggest pain in business. By forgetting to do one thing or deliberately choosing not to do it, we may be setting ourselves out on a painful business journey. E.G. Not following or completing the training here at Wealthy Affiliate. Or not regularly posting to social media...etc, etc.
There are so many things we need to do to make our business successful, yet I know, that often we tend to neglect what we don't want to do. Then we complain we aren't making money. I know this as a fact because I am as guilty as everyone else.
However. because I found my wife is hoarding knives under the bed, I am tackling those little problems that on the surface seem insignificant but may lead to a business-pinched nerve.
(The funniest things can lead to motivation).
'Unkink" your business pinched nerves. And if you are like me, you know what they are. It may be the smallest things are stopping you from achieving your goals.

Nice Analogy Stevoi and I certainly know all about pinched nerves!!
It got to a point a couple of years back that I couldn't even crawl to the fridge to get myself a liquid refreshment without the wife's help!!
So I went to see a specialist (about 80 bucks for a 20 minute appointment)!!
And he recommended physiotherapy!! Never going to work I thought, but... after about 3 months of three half hour sessions a week (and obviously doing a lot of additional work back at the ranch as well) I was nearly back to as normal as normal can be for me!
I continue to do the stretching exercises each and every day, more when the pain increases during certain activities.. but try my best to stay away from prescription drugs!!
Give it a try my friend!
👍🍻
We must be on the same wavelength this morning, because I said the same thing. The worst thing you can do when you don't want to do something is not do it. We had to clear mountains of snow - no one likes the thought of it. It is always funny how fast it gets done, once you do start...another fine post
I try to do the things I hate first, like waking up early...hoho.
I have to push myself to do the stuff I don't enjoy, but am getting better.
Thanks Florence

Hope you are feeling better! I'd be worried about the hoarding of knives though!! Unless they are butter knives and she's trying to 'smooth' things over!! :)
Oof, that sounds brutal, Steve!
Hope you’re feeling better soon!
Loved the business “pinched nerve” analogy—it’s so true how little things we ignore can cause big problems later.
Time to unkink those knots and keep moving forward!

Thank you for the post. Very interesting analogy. Reminded me of a time 20 years ago when my back went into spasm in my office. I didn't want to go to the doctor or hospital. My wife and office manager got me on a board and loaded me in his car to take me home. I laid on the floor for 2 days just trying to relax. The pain did go away and I was able to walk again and haven't had that happen again, thankfully.
