Released My First Website!
To anyone following along, I do apologize for the delay, but I did actually release my first website on Saturday! I was surprised at how difficult it was to press that 'Publish' button and make my thoughts open season for viewing and criticism. Afterwards though, it was a relief. I did a lot of small refinements after and I'm fairly happy with how things are looking.
Right now, I am hoping to expand on my content and work on my social media accounts to gain more views on my blog.
I find myself getting ideas of things I want to do with my site to expand and grow. I've even thought about perhaps splitting my blog up into two separate sites if this proves to be a worthwhile venture. Trying to prioritize and not get ahead of myself though.
While it was scary and a TON of work just to get this far, I am ridiculously excited to be here and see my page go live. If you're just starting out, keep going! It's such a roller coaster of a trip! Don't get off before seeing the view.
Hoping my next post will be more good news!
Thanks for reading!

Good luck with your new website! It must be a good feeling to know the result of all that work is now available for all to see.
For me, it feels like mine is a lifetime away! If only there were 30 hours in a day!!
Best wishes, Rob
Thank you Rob!
I still feel a lot of anxiety about it being out there. I honestly wish I had more time to work on it because I feel it could be so much better! Never-the-less, it does feel good to have done something and now have something to prove that I did.
Honestly, I worked on this so much. I work full-time with pager hours from 7am-10pm. I had a kid and boyfriend who need attention. I still cook and clean my house. I lost a lot of sleep to push this project along faster and I still felt like it wasn't progressing as fast as I wanted it to.
Do things as you can. Try not to be like me because you'll miss a lot of the fun moments trying to get things done. =) You'll get there on your schedule. =)
I wish you the best!
I always feel there is something I can do to improve anything I write, no matter how many times I have already made changes! It is not a good idea for me to read it more than once to check it for errors.
I agree with you when you say work to your own schedule. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing well and the only way to do that is to let it take as long as it needs.
Best wishes, Rob
Yey congrats.
I felt the same way too when I'm about to publish my first blog.
I am not confident with my English since I am ESL so I was thinking people will judge my work and so on.
Here is a great advice though. Just keep publishing and make sure your latest blog post is better than the last one. Don't stop learning how to improve your post and your blogging career.
Next thing you know, your site looks like professionally made :)

Hi John.
I didn't expect to feel quite so nervous, but I suppose it does make sense. We work so hard on these things. Putting it out there of course is going to be nerve wrecking.
If it cheers you up, I am an English fanatic. What you've written to me has been done quite well. I honestly wouldn't have thought you were ESL. =)
I do agree that is great advice. Now I have to remember to keep taking that advice! Lol
I wish you the best! And don't feel self-conscious about your English. You're doing great!
Hi Jennifer, reading about someone being successful is always good news.
Congratulations and continued success. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Michael.
Thank you so very much. I really appreciate it. Can't believe how many people are excited for this mini-milestone for me! I love these kinds of posts too and actually like to look for them when I'm thinking that doing this is too difficult.
Thanks again!
That's fantastic! You are definitely going in the right direction. Never stop getting ideas and never stop getting ahead of yourself. Make sure you write down Everything (use an app)!! Those ideas are gold. :) Congrats. May success be yours. Paula
Hi Paula.
Thank you so much!
I actually use Google Docs for all my notes because I can access it from my phone, tablet, personal or work laptop. So I always have my notes "with" me. It really does help! That is truly great advice! I agree 150%! =)
Thanks again! I hope you find all the success you want. =)
Congratulations on your first site!
That’s really exciting. Keep in mind it’s never “done”, you will forever be making adjustments and fine tuning, but that’s part of the fun.
Wishing you continued success!!
KyleAnn
Hi KyleAnn.
Thank you very much!
I know it will never be "done". I can't believe how much I have gone over things I already "completed" as I learned more and more through WA. I started writing even before I really understood SEO so there was a lot of editing and rearranging to try optimizing my posts.
Eventually, I would like to remove ALL of the stock photos I am using and put in my own photography as well.
It definitely has been fun though getting to this point. Can't wait to see what happens next!
I wish you success as well. Thank you!
Hi Maxine. Thank you very much. It really was a great feeling to see all my hard work actually become something! Needs more work, but I'm so glad to be excited about something again!
Best wishes to you as well! Have a great weekend!
