I've been doing keyword research for some time now. I've ran across a long tail keyword (6 words) and these are the results:

Avg. (Average # of searches that keyword has

You didn't give us the keyword you used. How can'll be able to fathom your point, I am still confuse here, did you input six keyword and you get a great result?

His keyword is six words long, is all.

First of all I fell a little over one thing in the first paragraph of your question text here.

You said you found a long tail keyword (6 words)

Although you might know this, the length or the amount of words in a Long Tail Keyword has little to do with the name long tail keyword. Read more about that on Dom's blog: Secondary, why wouldn't you try to rank for a keyword of those stats? That is not even a discussion. Just try and see. There is however no promise that you will rank.

Now we don't know what you typed of course and I totally understand you won't share it either, but if that keyword includes so called stop-words, removing them, will show you the real reason why you saw a QSR of 0 before.

Another part is non-grammatical or incorrect spelling that plays in on QSR.

On the page with the UQSR for your keyword, what are the top 5 posts? Are those posts using the exact same keywords that you are trying for?

Just some insights of my side. I hope actually that people like DomW and Nathaniell would answer here.

Steven

The keyword includes....
"What is the best xxxx xxxx"
If that helps at all

I remember reading somewhere that best of articles are also hard to rank for because of the best of phrase. Unfortunately I cannot find the post/blog.

Steven

Ahh I see, we'll that sucks lol. I am just starting out so this is mostly a learning experience for me. I only have maybe 8 posts so far so I'm gonna go ahead and make a post with this keyword and I will be sure to let you know what comes of it!

Thanks a lot Steven! This is why I love WA so much. It is way more easier to gain insight on things through others here at WA then to search the Web and just get misleaded. We are all trying to achieve the same goal here so it's easier to find pepole who know the answers due to failure and success. Im thankful for those who share this! They are what makes WA strong, and I hope to do the same for others here in the future!

One quick thing Steven.... since I'm just starting out and my website isn't even a month old. I've been wondering how long it really takes for Google to trust me!? I'm sure this will have to do with my rankings in a way right? Once my site "matures" could I then expect Google to rank me better. Or does that not come into effect. Just curious when I could start seeing results, because I'm new

I wish I found a keyword like that, I would wright an article in hours and publish! But you wonder if it gets almost 66 mio search results, why there would be no competition. I am interested to learn what more reactions you will get.

I believe it is only coming up as "About 65,900,000 results" because of semantics. Google will always give you many results based of what you typed into the search bar. Regardless of what a consumer types or is looking for, Google will break down that long tail keyword into separate words, and give you results on what you searched for that that you will have some kind of answer. Those 66 million results are the result of my long tails similar results pretty much.

Another thing to note is that when I type this long tail into Google search the first 2 results are "google feedback"...

#1- "shopping slider bar" (google giving feedback bases on specific words in my long tail)

#2- "people also ask..." (google feedback for similar search terms that my long tail has)

#3- Is a website that has a similar long tail but not even half of the actual long tail I'm using.

So... I'd like to believe that if the top two results for my long tail keyword are only suggestions Google is making to give the consumer the best answer, then if I create a post with the title of that keyword and use (but not overuse) that keyword then I should rank #1!

Hello there my WA family!

I just became premium yesterday so I am still in that learning curb. I'd like to get a list of good affiliate associations out there and persona

Hi Zack,

I would "Google" affiliate programs and see what comes up. Then, choose the ones that are going to provide you with seller' links that pertain to your specific niche. Hope that helped!

Cathy

Affiliates are plenty, and they will vary per niche. I would join some groups like, CJAffiliates or ClickBank. They sponsor thousands of Affiliate Programs. Choose the ones practical to your niche and those that you feel have good products.

You can always join Amazon.com or Walmart.com. They easily accept.

Only use plugins that you need. Look for those that have the most downloads. Too many plugins can slow your site speed down.

CJ

Themes to use, would depend on your niche to some extent and what you're trying to accomplish, same with plugins etc. Affiliates would depend on your niche.

What specifically are you asking ?

Hi Zack,

I can see you have 3 questions altogether.

1) Affiliate association ( program)

2) Plugins

and your heading is

3) The editor

Which one do you think is the most important to you right now?

Have you completed your Certification Course?

:)
Joe

He is on his certification course, if it would be completed he would not have those questions. ;)

A good premium theme has often the plugins you are looking for integrated. But you pay for that. Hey you only get what you pay for right?

Awin is a good affiliate network, recommended by Wealthy Affiliate as well.

Stefan, ToLiNoLi :)
