Just Started Today
So today is my first day at Wealthy Affiliate.
So far I've completed 3 Course 1 Lessons and will be building a website next. Lots of video watching.
But I seem to be stuck on the whole niche thing. Not which niche to choose, but how to name my website when we haven't done any keyword research yet. Am I being too anal about this? Maybe. Guess I'll head over to the chatroom and ask.
Also want to shout out hello to everyone who followed me just because I joined. That's a shock I'm still recovering from. People actually want to follow me? Really? How did that happen? Must be something in the water here. ;)

The niche selection process takes some getting used to. I am not certain we ever do it perfectly. While your domain name and title are important, your content will do volumes to ingrain those names into the minds of your site visitors.
I would do the keyword research. It is a nice place to start.

Thanks, I jumped the gun and went to Jaaxy already. Is there such a thing as a niche being too small?
Kyle often speaks of niches being too large. I think you should contemplate the volume of content that you can produce with this narrower niche and how you can tie it to sales. If it ends up too narrow and yet still produces some good income for you, you can always create more websites.

Hi and welcome to WA! The name of your site should reflect what the site is about, don't worry about keywords in the name just create something catchy, easy to type and remember.
