Creating your ebook with Designrr
Hi everyone
When I first started my ebook I was using PowerPoint template, downloaded from the Hubspot.
I changed my mind about using PowerPoint when one of our members mentioned to me about Designrr, a one off life membership for $27.00 Australian.
What did I learn about this program
Designrr is online so no space is taken up on my laptop. Which is fantastic!
I was given a choice on what to do:
1. I could Import one of my web pages by using my URL web page
2. Import from Microsoft Word (docx) or
3. Use a Facebook page
These options help you to create an ebook quickly. So before doing this, it's essential that the formatting is correctly done.
The other option which is the one I chose was to create my ebook from scratch. Yes you heard me right, from scratch. Why? Because I wanted to get the feel of my new program to see what capabilities that are available to me.
I am happy with the way I have done my ebook from scratch because I was able to lay it out the way I wanted and not get tied up with the quick way in case I wasn't happy, in other words I didn't want any stuff ups. Not only that, I wanted to add more pictures.
Yes my ebook is finished. Now for the next step.
Review my ebook.
I haven't pressed publish just yet because I might need to make some changes in the draft editor.
Choosing a template
You can choose any template, there were so many for me to choose from, however, if they don't have anything that you like you can always upgrade to another level at an extra cost.
Formatting
My ebook is sitting resting and I am going over my formatting in the designrr editor section of the program.
From here I am able to check the layout, headers & footers, search or upload my own images, making it all ready before I publish.
Publishing
Once you are happy with your changes then click publish. You can publish to a range of formats.
Don't stress if you find you have made an error after you have published your ebook. You want to make changes to your original copy and re-publish.
Yes it's finished, now to organise freebie sign in page.
(I wonder how I go about doing this next section)
I should know by now, I've read many blogs on how to do a sign up form, however the one I created is not working very well in my plugin.
I'm so grateful to have wonderful members who are willing to help me progress forward.

That sounds very interesting, Yvonne! I might have to check it out!
I have been highly satisfied with Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing for all of my ebook publishing needs, and I can publish them right there. They have Kindle Create, Cover Creator, etc., and I can sell them right there too! Sort of an all-in-one site!
Jeff
I do too, Barb, and it is FREE, you can get 70% royalties, and keep your books there as long as you like. The only time Amazon gets their cut is when your books sell!
Jeff
Awesome, Jeff!
Going from one app to another is a like the rabbit whole for me!
KISS... for the technically challenged!

I’ll have to check this out. Designrr has a format fir Kindle and Amazon. I’ll look further into this.
Hi Yvonne,
That's great. I've used Designrr before. Paul has some great products across his range. And, as you say, Designrr is great as a one-off price.
Regarding your signup form, is there one you can create within your autoresponder platform? As Lisa mentions, AWeber have a facility to create a capture page.
Whilst on the subject, are you already with an autoresponder? If not, just sharing this (though not putting a link in so you know it's not an affiliate thing!)...
Though there's a new (currently in Beta until 2nd Nov I think) autoresponder called Flo Desk. Whilst in Beta they are offering a one-off price for any amount of subscribers, and you can have two domains associated, and many lists. The current price I'm signed up for is $19 US a month. They have a capture page option too. I think there might be a free option to start with too...
If that sounds of interest, check out flodesk dot com I've just had another look, Beta price $19 a month till 2nd Nov, then it goes to $38 monthly for unlimited subscribers still, I believe.
Sorry if I've gone off on a tangent... hope that helped =)

I haven’t gotten into Aweber just yet, but it’s good to know there are others that I can take a look at. Aweber seems to be the recommended one by most WA members. Thank you for your questions and suggestions.
Hi Yvonne,
Well done in creating your first eBook. Although I do not have an eBook yet, I have used another eBook to offer as freebies to anyone who fills out my sign-up form on my posts.
This is where you need to create a funnel. I joined the free version of Aweber. This is where it all begins. It is through Aweber you can create forms that you can use on your posts using an Aweber plugin.
I uploaded my eBook as a PDF file to my Media folder in WordPress. Then I created a landing page on my website. When someone subscribed by filling in the form and clicked SUBMIT, they were sent an Email to confirm their subscription. After they confirmed, they were sent to my website landing page.
Here is where I had placed the link they could click to download the free eBook.
Does this help you to understand the process?
All the best to you.
Edwin
Brilliant Yvonne, well done!
I found out about Designnr 2 months ago and signed up for it straight away. A very good deal...
About optin forms, check out Magistudio's (Jay Neill) WA classes about email marketing. Just go to classes in the top WA menu and search for email marketing. At least 3 whole recorded webinars on email marketing and how to use an autoresponder, create optin forms, etc are all demonstrated in his classes.
If you get stuck, just pause the video and rewind. Take notes as they are an hour long class each. These classes helped me understand how to create optin forms and where to place them on a website page/post.
You will also learn how to do follow up sequences and email broadcasts. Jay takes his time and the good thing is that these classes are free for Premium members too.
You don't need to pay extra to learn from these classes and they are just part of the many classes recorded for us WA people.
Let's know how you get on with your finished ebook!
To your success,
Stella
If you haven't been to his 14 days straight trainings, Yvonne, it's not too late!
Day 5 is tonight, and Jay's awesome!
Clear and concise!
Barb
I went to his first one while at work. But I’m working when it’s on. I get to see the after videos.

Good luck getting your sign-up page set up. I struggled with getting a setup that works for my eBook. I didn't do a pop-up but am now thinking that I should do things differently in that respect on my new website.
I am interested in how things work out for you. I wish you the best!
Bob
Thank you Bob. I appreciate your opinion on the topic regarding a sign up page. I intend to do a landing page and offer my book for free. I will let you know through another blog how it goes.
