What no one tells you about money
I’ve been meaning to write this post for a while.
I often share personal stories so that you can see that I don’t consider myself perfect and I’m still growing. I believe it is good to stop and reflect and see if we are going to the right direction. This article is no exception.
I was in the metro when I saw it.
It was there, alone and innocent. A penny, 2 eurocent to be precise. I thought about taking it, but I felt awkward. It made me think: It’s free money lying on a seat why do I feel awkward? Was I too proud to take it?
I would like to offer you a new way of seeing money,
Life is not all about it but we will start with it. Money is not important, we choose to make it important! Yes, the human being doesn’t need money; we can grow our own food, build our own houses, build our own car (or have a horse) and sew our own clothes.

How to build a house, a car, sew my own clothes because it isn’t my passion. How could I live my life the way I want, Learning the things I want and still have a house, a car, … There is a convenient thing called money. It is one of the solutions.
Money is neither good nor bad,
It is simply a commodity. I don’t know where it got lost but it is supposed to help us live the way we decided to. Indeed I can give money to somebody whose passion (I hope) is to build a house and he will build one for me. The same works for a car. People value this thing enough to accept it without further effort. You could build a house for someone you’ve never met.
I remember the story of Kyle Mcdonald who exchanged a red paperclip all the way to a house. Money is completely made up, paper with dead presidents or sometimes weird drawings on them (my opinion on the euro note) and metallic coins. I often hear money is evil. I want to tell those people to experiment living without it (I’m serious). It is possible. Those units are the things you use for this lifestyle choice.
If you choose to use those units,
You must learn what they are (you can already recognise them) and how to accumulate them. It is like knowing that to play basketball you need a ball. It doesn’t make you win every match. Now that we know what it is, why not learn how to accumulate to the number we want? I’m not an expert on the subject as I’m still Learning.
The book « think and grow rich » (you can either buy the book or find it free as a pdf) has been recommended by many financially successful people. Think and grow rich. If my definition of thinking is correct, I think a lot but….
I had to read the book to understand.
It tells you that you can think and grow rich or think and grow poor. It gives steps-by-steps principle. There is also “the richest man in Babylon”. Those could be the foundation of your journey.
Anyway is it hard? Is it easy?
Let’s get back to the metro situation. I found money on a seat, therefore I live in a country where you can find money on the ground, money that people are ashamed to pick up. This means I have the chance to live in a very abundant country.
I decided to write this article in two parts because I would like to have your opinion on this part first. If you read carefully, I said that it starts with what you want and what you want starts with your value.
I believe knowing your value, can make you unstoppable.

When you discovered money being freely on the ground, there's a sign. A good sign but it can be a test as we might be selfish.

In certain countries you could be more or less be self sufficient however there are many places where you will need money to get started at least, not everyone has sufficient materials lying around to build a house or perhaps get medicines they need, and the term money is the root of all evil this I disagree with it is people and how they choose to use it, sadly greed and selfishness is widespread.
