Supercharge your life make the best out of it
People made fun…
Of me because I’m always positive. I’m the guy cheering up other people. They call me “cheesy” for inspiring and pushing others. One of my good friends whom I started a business with, always believes that when something good happens something bad will automaticly balance it (I told him that it is random and you could only have good news for the the next 10 years of your life, he couldn’t believe it.)
As I organised social events…
Some guest asked me why and how come I’m always positive (why I think that things will work out). Nothing seems to be different about me. They want to convince me with reasons that I shouldn’t be happy because I don’t have this or that going on for me.
It surprised me…
I mean, If you are negative in life, every morning, afternoon and night, what kind of days will you have? Do you tell yourself: I don’t think I’m going to succeed but I’m going to try anyway. I mean honestly how do you walk, sit, stand (physically, looking down, shoulders down)? How are you perceived by others? How do you inject energy into what you are thinking about?
Some people live life expecting to fail at everything they try.W
Even though there is absolutely no proof that they will fail. I remember being really bad at school at predicting if I failed an exam or not. Sometimes I was sure I did well and I did well and other times not. On a few occasions I thought I failed and in the end not only had I succeeded but I had the best score in my class. I couldn’t explain it (can someone relate to that?)
I see that with diets too…
My older sister trying on a new (strange) diet, convinced that it will fail. With that kind of energy, it is hard to follow through so.. she gives up, feels bad about herself and eats junk food to feel better…
At times, I feel that being positive is a fight.
It’s like everywhere and everything teaches you to be negative! You walk down the street with a big smile on your face and peole look at you weird asking you what’s going on. Have you won the lottery, got married, gave birth, got away from cancer? It feels like you must have a reason to be happy otherwise you don’t have the right to. I heard so many times that being happy, positive, is a choice and you can be happy here and now.
You can be happy right now…
But you’d better not show it to other people it’s as if the world wants you to be sad. I used to hang around negative people and they always said negative things about life and expect you to do the same. If you dared to say “I feel good and things are getting better.” they started hating on you or tried to find out what was wrong in your life to prove you that you shouldn’t be positive.
As a lot of people will tell you…
Tim Ferriss, Peter Sage, Bob Proctor, Tony Robbins,… You are the average of the 5 people you hang out the most with so… I got rid of them. In my next article I will include a “gratitude workout”, you will understand.
Before I leave you,
I wonder if for the sake of the exercise, you’ve ever imagined the most positive life you could have.
Imagine with me (it’s free): A friend of yours tells you about an oportunity to make it big, in your area, you apply it with your own knowledge and sbam you make a million dollars. Amazed you go to the bank to see the check and on your way, you have a car accident that leads you to meet the women of your dreams, amazing, funny,… She tells you that you look like her favorite character in her book, she is gorgeous, she loves you.
After some times
you have a pain in your belly, you visit your doctor and he tells you that you have an amazing disease that makes you immune to heart attacks, accumulation of bad cholesterol, other diseases …
Do you know that those story happen everyday (maybe not the last part) but the rest, well and it could happen to you…
We spend so much time imagining the worst scenario but never the best. Let’s balance our life.
Let me know what you think, also share your positive imagination stories, I’m curious.
