The simple art of happiness…

I used to love baking cake.( I stopped for various reason). I used to wake up early, bake a special cake and casually put it on the living room table. I didn’t want anybody to see me cooking, I guess I wanted everybody to think it was easy. I was at my happiest point when I saw people being amazed by the look of the cake, the taste and finishing it and asking for more. It gave me so much pride, It made me happy.

I believe, a small act of happiness…

Happens when you are doing something for others, even if it hurts, or you fail many times. Remember as a kid learning how to do some things to impress your father or mother, you tried many times, failed and didn’t even care. Maybe it was learning how to swim, juggle, play football,..

I don’t know how it happened…

Along the way, while growing up, making others happy got lost and we are now focused on success at first try, it’s all about the 7 steps to success or 3 or 5, which makes no intellectual sense. The idea of adding value, making people enjoy an experiment you made, disappeared. I think about the mother happily sewing her child’s trouser without telling him, the real pleasure of giving a gift, is seeing the happiness in other’s people eyes when they open it. I imagine you going through those lines reading at your own pace and smiling now.

That is the reason I do what I do…

It might sound naive to you but I like the idea of creating a tribe of people looking for more than just the mainstream accepted life. An army of free and fulfilled people.
