9 Weeks Down the Line.

Well I'd love to say I have a really successful website and working on my second - which, if you'd read my goals from my first few days, this is what I'd predicted I'd be doing now!

I'm not, far from it! But I am still enjoying everything I'm learning and that is the main thing. I really didn't appreciate the amount of dedication, education, researching and time it takes to build even the simplest of websites - I also didn't appreciate (although it was stressed over and over) that I wouldn't be making a penny on the site yet?! I was somewhat naive to this whole thing - the costs of making a website I'm happy with and I thought I might have at least made a pound by now!

So I've been quiet for a while now. In the past 3-4 weeks I've taken myself away from the site, stopped the emails (other than training) and logged in every day to do something to the site - even if it is only for a couple of hours... I've changed a lot on the website that I wasn't happy with (and there are still a few bits that need altering!), spent hours and hours finding photos I'm happy with and despite only reaching course 3, lesson 3 (before affiliate links/rankings), I decided to start afresh and listen to each lesson again... I was planning on doing this when I reached the end anyway, but I'm so pleased I did as there was a few key things I'd forgotten to do - especially at the beginning as I didn't know what I was doing and I now feel ready to carry on with a website I'm quite happy with! I still have some tweaking to do to a few of the pages and some updates or additional text to add to pages as I go along but overall I don't think I've done bad in 10 weeks given that I don't have very much time with an energetic 2 year old who doesn't like to sleep!

Don't rush our stress. And don't be afraid to change niches either!

Blogging is a journey not a destination:)

You're making great progress, Sally. Keep at it.

Yeah keep chipping seems to be the way.

Hi Yoyo, The goal that is never made is when we quit!. Keep on going. In reality, goals have no time limit. Best wishes.

It's great that you are making progress. I also thought that I would be further along after 5 weeks, but it takes time to research and write quality content while raising children with a lot of energy. Keep your momentum going....you'll get where you want to be soon enough. I'm here to cheer you on!

Glad to hear your making progress. I too thought I would be farther along than I am at 6 weeks but I appreciate now the time it takes to write quality content around keywords and do the necessary homework. You will get there, keep pressing on!

Hi Yoyo it's great to see your dedication and not just publishing anything but waiting until you are perfectly happy with your creation. Well done and keep on going you'll get there. All the very best

George :-)

As they say, great things take time. It sounds like you're doing great at your own pace, especially with a little one! (I'm only about 5 week in and am still trying to finish the first lesson.)
Best of luck to you and your progress

Good Job Yoyo,
I have been with WA for about 4 weeks now and still working on my 2 websites. A lot to learn but the training is very good,
