Google Adsense - is it a must for a website?
Hello everyone:
I have been trying to promote my websites (all of them are indexed in Google now). One of the method to monetize my websites is Google Adsense.
The question I have - is it kind of necessary or must have for your website? Can't you succeed without Adsense in online world? What are the chances of having click on ads that Google puts on your website? Who decides which ad to post and what relevance does it has? I kept "applying for Adsense" but each time I get a regular reply from Google - that is "we did not approve your website".
If I stop pursuing Adsense further, do you think I will loose traffic and in turn revenue through my website?
Please help.
Cheers,
Sushil

Adsense is great but not necessary. Some of the WA family have gotten Adsense and then deleted it as they felt that the ads "cheapened" the look of the site
You definitely can succeed without Google AdSense. I do not have AdSense on any of my websites and I do fine without it.
Google AdSense is not a must have. It is only a small option that will benefit a website that is getting a lot of daily traffic. And even then the benefits will not be as good as those from your affiliate links.

Short answer: NO.
Adsense only addresses the traffic you get, if the ads displayed are appropriate, they do not, in and of themselves bring more traffic. You might be thinking of Adwords, which is what you use to place ads on other people's sites to bring traffic to you.
