Exactly 1 Month on WA! - Good Progress

Wow! It's exactly 1 month on WA! I joined on March 14, 2016 and I've come a long way.

I decided to go with the "earthquake preparedness" niche as I live in Vancouver, BC where there's always the talk of "The Big One" and I live in an earthquake prone area. I want to spread awareness and help others be prepared so they can keep themselves and their family safe. An earthquake can strike at anytime so preparedness and knowing what to do is vital. You might not live in an earthquake zone but you may end up traveling to one. Your friends/family may live in one or may be traveling to one as well so EVERYONE should actually know this information.

Anyway, on to my progress. The training is so amazing and the community support is great! I learned so much in such a short time and I owe it to you guys in helping me grow. When I look back, I'm actually surprised at what I've done.

Let's see what I accomplished in a month:

• Picked a niche
• Upgraded to Premium
• Created my site (www.earthquakekitguide.com)
• Got a logo to make it more professional
• Set up social media (Google+, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest)
• Added social share buttons
• Added Google Analytics
• Signed up for Amazon and added affiliate links
• Added Google Adsense
• Earned my first revenue last week ($0.08 Adsense the first time, then $1.30 the next day, then $0, then $0.75, then $0, then $0.04)
• Averaging about 20 visits a day (I think most of them are from you guys as I'm not really ranking yet)
• Wrote over 20 blog posts
• WA Rank near 500
• Almost 900 WA followers (Update: Woo hoo! Over 900 now after this posting)
• Almost completed the Certification Courses (I'm on Course 5, Lesson 8)

I hear a lot of new members asking whether this really works. Well, here's some proof from Google Adsense to show that's I'm slowly earning a little although my traffic isn't that much right now. Keep in mind that I've only been here for a month and the majority of the time was spend on learning and just building the site so I haven't had Adsense on that long. Hopefully when traffic ramps up, the revenue will ramp up as well. Slowly but surely. Just need to keep working hard and have patience.

I really like the comment and feedback system here where it encourages interaction both on your actual page and in the community. It's a pretty good source of new ideas and topics for posts on my blog. I've learned a lot of new techniques and am hoping to learn more in the Classrooms. I haven't checked it out yet as I want to finish the Certification Courses first. I haven't even touched any of the Live Video Classes either. I'm sure there's a wealth of knowledge there for me to gain.

My goals for next month are:

• Finish the Certification Course
• Write a minimum of 3 posts per week
• Add a newsletter
• Get at least 5 backlinks
• Write a guest post on another site
• Get 100 site comments
• Get pages ranked in Google
• Average 50 visits per day consistently
• Earn $0.50 per day consistently (Adsense)
• Get at least 1 Amazon affiliate sale
• Become an annual WA Premium member (way cheaper in the long run)
• Get a paid Jaaxy account
• Help others (I know that's a general goal but I plan to do this everyday)
• Get in the Top 200 WA ranking
• Get 1500 WA followers
• Start the Affiliate Bootcamp
• Possibly start another website with the WA Affiliate Program in mind

So far so good I think. I can't say enough about how great WA is. I can't believe how much resources there are in here. I feel that I'll be learning forever (which is a good thing) and with such a huge community, everyone has their own expertise so I'm sure I will learn even more from you guys.

For those who are new, go through the Certification Courses. Finish it from front to back. It might take awhile to complete but it's worth it and will teach you all you need to know. Watch all the videos inside (Kyle does a great job in teaching the lessons) and complete all the tasks. This is an important one as you need to take action in order to be successful. You can read and learn all you want but if you don't go and apply it, nothing will happen.

If you need help, ask. Whether it be in chat, in the classrooms, or private message, ask questions. There are so many highly experienced people here there's bound to be someone who can help you out and they usually reply pretty fast too.

If people need help, help them. If you see someone in need of help and you have the knowledge to help them, help them. Also, if you help others it gives more exposure to your profile which in turn will get more views which in turn can mean more visits to your website if you have a link to it in your profile (I recommend you do). As a community that's how we grow strong together. Help each other. WA has one of the most amazing communities I've ever seen and I'm proud to be part of it. And lastly, ask for feedback. People will give you great ideas on how to improve your site and there will always be room for improvement. Oh, and one other thing. Follow EVERYONE! The more people you follow the more chance that they follow you back and increase your followers. Why is this good? Because you will get notifications on their awesome blog posts but best of all, they're more likely to visit your site. The more people to your site (even if it's WA members), the more chance of earning revenue. I'm pretty sure most of my Adsense revenue came from WA members looking at my site. I have more advice and can go on forever but I'll leave that for another post.

Whoa...I didn't realize this is getting pretty long so I'll cut it short. I've had doubts as to whether I'd even make any money here (especially so early in the game) but I've proven that you can. But it takes a lot of hard work. Don't get discouraged if you don't make anything for the first few months. If your site isn't complete, don't expect to make anything. If you don't take the time to write quality blog posts, don't expect to make anything. The amount of money you earn is relative to the amount of work you put in. So depending on that, it could take you weeks, months, years...it's totally up to you. It's different for everyone. But once you see the first cents rolling in it motivates you like CRAZY! Because that finally proves that this works!

Anyway, if you've read this far, THANKS! Your eyes must be tired... maybe I should have split this into multiple posts but as a new Premium member you're restricted to 1 post a day (for the first 3 months) and I was too excited to wait. I know it took some time to read but I have a lot to say on how amazing WA is and even though I've only been here for a short time I have a lot of advice from learning along the way. Can't believe WA has been around for over 10 years! I wish I found it sooner.

Hope this post motivated some of you and helped you out with my advice. Wish you all success and don't give up! Put in the work and it'll pay off in the long run. It just takes time for everything to come together.
