How I got here
I feel like my brain is all over the place. - But here goes:
I left a long time corporate payroll job to try something completely new that had just fallen into my lap. Property management. I can justify almost anything in my head. Here's my pros on that move:
- Later in life when I look back, I won't have to say "I wonder if that could've worked out"
- I plan to buy income property of my own eventually. This is a good opportunity to learn the ins-and-outs of that.
- Kids are now over 18. It's actually a good time to take a risk as far as that goes.
- When she asked my salary requirements, I started high thinking we were negotiating. The first number I gave her, she said OK.
- I was looking for a change. Felt burned out. Felt like my life was at a stand-still. I had to kick-start something or another.
Cons:
- Too good to be true?
- What if this doesn't work out and I've given up the security of a steady long-time job that I've enjoyed and done well at for over 10 years.
Well, my boss turned out to be too good to be true. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and gave it a good solid year before deciding I've given it a fair chance.
In all the interviews I went on after that, I couldn't find a "home" and "family" like I had for those 10 years. I worked some temp jobs, made do here and there and have been living on my savings and doing a lot of reflecting and getting to know myself: what's made me happy, what's made me miserable, what's too much trouble, what's worth the trouble, what I need vs. what I want.
So, in this time of being unemployed, I've decided I really like this living during the day stuff. I don't have to live for nights and weekends to enjoy life.
Now, I just need to find an income that I can live on to maintain this life. I need to scrape up $48,000/year net to pay my bills and live this life without splurging too often.
That works out to be $131.51/day. (7 days). $184.11 if I want to do it in 5 days every week.
When I saw Steve Razinski's email showing his statement, if he gets average $50/day for just setting something up and it collects for him per click, that brings us down to $81.51/day. If I can do that with 3-4 different sources, I could do this.
That's what I'm "studying" here. I hope this works. Better yet, I hope it works for me and a bunch of people that I know would and could do this.
I want to share some of my "if I ever won the lottery" ideas with you guys. Probably my next blog.

Thanks for sharing. Great post. At the end of the day you will feel better knowing you permitted yourself the opportunities to grow and stretch. This quest, and journey through the forest of internet marketing is true challenge. No one can deny this. Just take things one paw at a time. Perhaps the biggest challenges we might face from working online are social based. I miss working in a high paced environment where I could connect with tons of people.

Such success is totally possible. You can do it, but as we all know, it won't happen over night.

I'm not looking for overnight, just before my savings runs too low and I have to back to work. I'll lose my momentum, I think. So I'm anxious to see my first $$ on. That's just my way of trying to play it cool, while inside I'm jumping for joy that I'm on my way. LoL!!!
I totally get it. You like everyone else must change your believability index to mentally believe the success you seek is possible to help you have more faith to push you forward. This is something we all seek. All the best to you. We are all in this together. We'll chat later...

Take your time and follow the training to the letter and you will be successful. Don't be disheartened if you don't see $$ immediately. Build and work your site and 'they' will come.
