I am in between two domain names/brands and I want your opinion, successwithdes.com or............... affiliatesuccesswithdes.com. I am going with either or at this point. Whic
Shorter is better. You start running into social media username limits at 15 characters.
If you are the product it's fine to include your name, otherwise leave it out. 1. Customers care about themselves. 2. If you ever want to sell your domain it limits your pool of purchasers.
Knowing what you will offer people, and how that may shift and grow as you expand, think about what's in it for them. What are their goals and pain points? Research what they are typing into search engines, and see where that leads you.
From a heart to help: I'd say you've got a tagline or a mission statement, not a domain name.
Hi Destin. Even though it makes your domain name quite long I think affiliatesuccesswithdes.com would be better, always assuming, of course, that your website is going to be about affiliate marketing.

Thank you guys for your input! Do you also know if there is a feasible way to change a website's domain name once it has been created?

Does the PrettyLink plugin have to active in WordPress in order for my Prettylinks to keepworking? Or can I deactivate the plugin?
Pretty Links is a tool like any other. You can use it to cloak your links or make them more attractive.
Robert
Right, and I have made many links already that I use. I am just wondering if those links will still be active if I deactivate or uninstall the PL plugin itself

Would I be able to use WA to gain a decent number of likes on my website FB page? For example is there a particular part of WA that I could ask people to do this? Or is that to
Best and quickest was is to advertise for likes on facebook, using facebook advertising to grow your likes.
I was thinking that too, but I haven't tried it yet. Do you have any personal experience with this?
Here are a few threads for FB likes give and take. It is not spammy. Facebook Likes - Give and Take Thread Facebook Page Likes Thread - Give Likes, Take Likes! Facebook Likes Call Out! Give & Take :
Just because they have been reported/taken down yet does not mean that they are allowed.
It's spammy for WA, but I don't know if Jay's recent trainings on facebook pages has that kind of thread already. You might want to check, as if there is an official thread, then that's the way to do it.
You're welcome. Oh, and the other thing you can do is place your facebook page URL in your profile under 'my websites.' That way people can add you without you asking them to.

Hey guys, I have actually for the first time decided to use the Rapid Writer feature here at WA recently. Can anyone explain to me what publishing your article on StreetArticle
From Carson, two and a half years ago:
"Article Directories are not something that offer much benefit at all anymore, other than to help Google find your website when it's brand new. That said, the second you share your website at Wealthy Affiliate, Google knows about it within seconds.
Although we own StreetArticlces.com, it's of little value to people to post their content on. We suggest posting all content on your website, not on any directory.
Carson"

I haven't been able to work on my site for quite some time now and SiteSupport is not helping identify the problem.
For a while now I have been getting an error message
Hey guys thank you all for the advice and support!
I actually ended up having to switch servers here at WA beause my site was having problems loading. Once that problem was gone, a new one arose the next time I tried to loggin.
No matter what password I put it, it would not let log in to my Wordpress admin area because I needed to change my DNS settings. SiteSupport helped me with this (after a long, grueling process) and it has been fine since.
If any problems keep occurring I will post updates here to help anyone else that may be having the same issues.
Did you check what is happening with your site when you cannot login? You might be unpleasantly surprised. I had the same situation and my site was down every time when this was happening. Check also incognito.
Use uptimerobot, it is free, it will monitor your site and you will know when it is down.
Are you trying to login through the siterubix SiteManager pane or through your site's "wp-admin" page?
I just tried to log in through my site's "wp-admin" page. I'm getting a 403 ("Forbidden") response along with the message:
You don't have permission to access /wp-logmein.php on this server.
[added]
I usually log in through siterubix and that's working fine.
Thanks, Marion -- Is that a special feature of WA hosting or does it work that way for all wordpress sites wherever they're hosted?

Just tried it on one of my sites -- it logs in just fine without the "Remember me" box checked. Strange.

That's not possible. You would have to purchase another domain.
