This really made me be grateful

What's up everyone! Well these past few days I've been feeling a bit down. Just been trying to help a few of my friends out with some issues that they're having (well they're broke). And at work, they've really been giving me a hard time due to a scheduling mistake I made like a week ago. It's just so stupid what they've been saying about me, and every day I feel less and less welcome at my job.

I honestly can't wait to quit and be able to be full-fledged online. I have too much talent to waste at a job where people don't appreciate what I do. So yesterday I went for a run after work, which is my escape from the negativity I face after an 8 hour day. And lo and behold, I sprained my ankle about halfway through. I got even more frustrated with myself because well who likes being injured? I was doing so well with my running and I was going to even do a 90 day fitness challenge on my website to inspire people to get in shape. Well this definitely put those plans on hold.

Here's where it got interesting. I was attempting to walk back to my car, when I saw a man pass by in front of me in crutches. He only had one leg, but he looked pretty darn happy. I just thought to myself, wow, what do I have to be mad about? I have my health and both of my legs in tact. My injury will eventually heal, probably sooner rather than later since I didn't sprain it too bad after all. It just really made me feel grateful for what I have. Because no matter how hard I think I have it at times, someone is going through something worse. It's how you react to things that happen to you that counts. And that had to have been a sign from God. I just refuse to believe that him passing by in front of me moments after my injury was a coincidence.

God does work in mysterious ways. By staying positive, the negativity of others passes away. Thank you for the post.

He really does. I was feeling so negative when I went out to run, and even more so after hurting myself. Seeing that man so happy just changed everything.

Thanks for sharing...I was having a very frustrating day also and it made me realize that I should be grateful too.

Gratitude is so important. It really is.

Very nice blog and insporational thank you

Thanks for the wake up ... whenever we think we have it bad ... just look around. Well done.

It's amazing what happens when you look around with eyes wide open, isn't it? Lee

It really is!

Spot on, mate.

Don't waste your time on people who don't appreciate you, if they're broke that's their problem, not yours. They CHOOSE too stay at their level, you have chosen to join WA and improve your lot.

Yup yup!

A very good blog. It's always helpful if you can learn and grow from your mistakes, challenges and hardships. I like the way you handled this.

Great observation. I really hope you can leave your job soon. No-one should be in a job where they don't appreciate them.

I hope so too. It's such a nightmare there. No joke.

It`s really true that life is what you make it. Don`t think that just having money will make you happy- it will only give you more options in life that you NEED to act on to make it all worth it.

good blog...

Thank you!
