The beginning of my website... With much left to go. And my story.

So yesterday I began to start building my first niche website through WA. And it has been fun, but it has definitely been hard, too. An idea is only that; an idea. So putting my idea into a webpage and blog posts and making a flow chart of pages I plan to have AS WELL as filling out those pages; well, it's a lot of hard work! But since my niche is something that I'm genuinely interested in, and that I'm currently experiencing right NOW, it makes it much easier. Here's my site if you'd like a look at what I have so far, since I'm not 100% sure it shows up on my profile: http://creditmama.siterubix.com/

I'm hoping the simplistic layout will make it easier for those seeking help in this area to find what they need, and I've already started building my "Dictionary" page, where I create a list of words with their meanings, and links to each word or term within my posts/other pages. I know I had to go to dictionary.com, google.com, and wikipedia.org a LOT when I started on my journey to bettering my credit, just to figure out all the lingo. I figured this way, there's a simple way to find out what specific things mean without taking away from the page and losing track of where you were.

I'm also hoping that my site will help others like me, unable to provide much income, or are stuck at home because they are unable to get a job for whatever reason. My personal background: A stay-at-home mother for the last year, two kids, and a third on the way. My oldest begins Kindergarten this next fall, but with two kids in diapers for at least another year or two, I'm not going to be able to get a job without paying outrageous childcare expenses. I'll be staying at home with the kids a few more years.

So when my boyfriend and I decided that we wanted to start thinking about a home of our own, I started researching mortgages, which in turn had me researching credit. When we checked our credit, my boyfriend's credit was ok, but mine was awful. I was sitting with 10 collections and a charge-off based on my reports, and my credit scores were 480-540. YIKES!

So in an attempt to begin building my credit yet still staying at home with the kids, I began a plan to help someone in my situation make the best of it to build credit, even with very little income. But then, I thought about supplementing my boyfriend's income by trying to earn some money at home. And that's where I managed to (finally) find WA. So here I am today, creating my first website in an attempt to not only make money for my family, but also HELP OTHERS in situations similar to mine.

So follow me if you wish, as I begin this journey and better my family's living while still being a homemaker. A Credit Mama.

Hi Nicole,
I think this would be a great niche to get involved in. Lots of people need help in this department and I'm glad that this is also something you are passionate about as well.

If you can help other people out by offering them a service you are going to be very successful online. Personally my credit never has been the greatest either and I have been trying to get it up to where it should be.

I know that you will do very well with this and if you need any help going forward please let me know. I look forward to seeing your site grow and read about your many success stories.
Talk to you soon
Scott

Thank you! I'm sure I'll be shouting to the world the next time something big happens! :D

Yes here soon everyone will know every time you reach one of your goals or you experience some success.

It is great to do a site on something you are passionate about. I too am passionate about this niche and helping Moms, Dads and retirees have a better life.

When it's more than just making money for you, it's much better. :) I'm hoping to help others make money when they are unable to in the normal job market, along with improving credit. It's hard to live comfortably when you pay almost double what you originally bought the mortgage for because of the high, high interest rates of less-than-perfect credit. :( Or trying to finance for a car and you get the highest interest rates because you have no credit or bad credit, even though you have the job stability to completely pay the monthly payment on time each time. I guess this won't JUST help those with low-income. It could really be used by anyone who is willing to spend time and effort increasing their credit.

I know how you feel. I have been in similar financial situation before. I wish you all the best.

Thank you very much. :)
