Introduction

I am Wynand Nell, an extractive metallurgist or mineral processing engineer with a distinct passion for big game hunting in Africa, and started out with Wealthy Affiliates when due to Covid 19 Lockdowns in South Africa business ground to a halt. This brought the realization that I must look as secondary income. I did some research on the internet and the rest is hitory

Accomplishments as WA

  • I signed up for the free program, and in the first week completed the first course.
  • I signed up for the premium program and have completed my 2nd course, with the exception of the aspects that pertain to buying my own domain, which I could not do due to a lack of funds.
  • I created my first website on advice to the prospective mine developer in Africa South of the Sahara, but on doing my Jaaxy research found that there is no traffic to this concept on the internet. I subsequently reviewed my choice of niche and settled on my passion for hunting.
  • I then created a new blog on hunting big game in Africa using all the knowledge I gained from Kyle's training.
  • With this new niche I found that the search for low competition keywords was much more effective and have published three keyword rich posts to this new blog.

Comments on the training

have found the courses and presentation extremely helpful and would, and have recommended the course to all of my friends on Facebook (200+) as well as to all my connections on Linked In (1100+)

Problems encountered

I am currently an old age grant recipient in South Africa which give me a total income of $116 per month, of which half goes to my rent. Hence, I have a serious cash shortage as present (waiting for a big engineering project to kick of in which I am the Engineering Manager, but the lock down has seriously hampered the speed with which this will happen.) Hence, I am in the situation where I must make the most of my first month of premium membership as I will not be able to afford the $49 needed for the second month. Hence my premium membership will stop on 8 August.

I am not discouraged by this as I will still proceed with the work, regardless of the loss of premium benefits.

Goals

My goals are outlined as:

  1. In three months to get my website ranked in Google. To as least show some income by month three, no matter how small.
  2. In six month to get a steady flow of income of between $100 and $200 per month.
  3. After one year I want to see an income of $500 per month.
  4. By year three I want to have an income from the website of $5000 per month.
  5. By year 5 I want to achieve my initial goal of $10000 per month.

To achieve these goals I am and will continue to put in as least 40 hours of work per week.

Kind Regards

Wynand Nell

Those are good goals. It's rare to see someone start out with realistic goals and I believe you can achieve those.

I can relate to your situation. I wasn't working when I first signed up to WA but I was determined to make it work.

Have a look at this post. You can use site comments to help cover the fee. It's also helpful with learning because in the process you see other people's websites and read their articles which gives you more knowledge and ideas.

Best success to you, Wynand!

Jeff

Wow, those are sturdy goals and I believe you will reach them. Congrats on your decision to make it work regardless and I wish you all the best. I look forward to watching you and helping you succeed.
