Rant-Spelling & Grammar Errors in Created Content
Hey Everyone!
First of all, I just want to say that I mean this in the most positive way possible, therefore please take it as constructive criticism. I don't want to shine the spot light on anyone specific or single out individuals, but I feel like this needs to be said & hopefully worked on.
So lately I have been doing more blog reading & trying to grow my network on here with other members. Now, as much as I hate to be negative, or to be that person pointing out spelling errors, I feel it needs to be done. Hopefully this doesn't hurt anyone's feelings, but if you won't take ten minutes to read your content before hitting submit, then I have no interest in your opinions on any topic. That may sound harsh or cruel, but that is the cold hard truth.
When I read blogs with more than a couple errors, I feel immediately put off by the author's effort. You are coming across as unprofessional, and uneducated or even worse, just plain lazy. Now, I know that this affiliate marketing takes a lot of work. If your new in the game, then soaking in the knowledge & comprehending it all can be time-consuming sometimes. But no matter where you are at in your journey of WA (Wealthy Affiliate), it's an absolute must to use spell check at least. If you don't see it as an important step to take every time you create content then I think you could be losing free traffic or followers.
I certainly don't want to follow anyone who won't take an extra couple minutes to read their own post before sharing it. Your not showing effort in your writing therefore you most likely didn't spend much effort in becoming familiar with the products that you are promoting.
Maybe you have had prior experience on the subject or product, but how would I know as the reader that your not just trying to tell me what I want to hear and skimming over products to rush through to the money making step. It definitely comes across as that being the real reason behind all those mistakes and being so sloppy.
My motto is that quality is more important than quantity with writing. It's bothersome that so many people just post their content without spending ten minutes at the very most to read & edit.
I do feel better getting that off my chest. Truthfully, I want everyone to succeed in their journey and I am always willing to lend a hand or help someone with proofreading basics on their content if needed. I would be happy to help, as I hope to get the good karma and good deeds back in a pay it forward approach. Please don't hesitate to reach out either by email or privately on the message board. I'll gladly do site feedback with any grammar and spelling error feedback sent privately aside from the site public comments.
Have a Great Day Everyone, & Take Care,
Wendi

Well said, Wendi, although it must be said that there are many here for whom English is not their primary language! Great post, pointing this out though. Of course, I too, have the occasional spelling or grammatical error as well, which I chock up to being tired!
Stay safe and successful, my friend!
Have a GREAT weekend!
Jeff
Well said. To be honest, respectful, and well-meaning are traits we need to carry on no matter how embarrassing it could be to state the obvious.
Installing Grammarly really helps to catch errors here and there.
Great post, Wendi!
