What is the difference between publishing post through SiteContent and WordPress?

Hi guys, what is the difference between publishing post through SiteContent and WordPress？Now I just realised that posts I published through Wordpress are not inside the SiteContent. Any thoughts on that ?

I always write directly to WordPress. It means WA doesn't keep a track of word count and indexing

They won't appear in site content. The two work independently.

I always publish through site content then publish. Once you add images in site content, they are automatically downloaded to your media library for future use. However, once you publish from site content, any editing has to be done in WordPress.
