I am currently located in Singapore. I just resigned from my job a month ago, and going to stop working in 3-days time. This company had 7 people go early this month, our pay being cut 10% to 20%. TV commercial productions activities are canceled, no productions. We still have some work, 2D, 3D design work, with little budgets.

Is this the right time?

I am here in Singapore for 10 years, and I thought I should have spent more time doing affiliate marketing, I decided to leave Singapore some time ago and head back to Malaysia for good, but due to the covid19 pandemic, my country has locked-down, I am stucked here without a job soon.

A lot of negative noises around

Jobless friends are stress, friends with job has no sales, business deals have canceled. Malaysians have to stay home, only one person can drive out to buy food, no more than 1 person in any vehicle. Permit needed to work in the office. No hanging out, no restaurants hoping, only delivery service. Groceries stores can open from 8 am - 7 pm.

Some unfortunate events are happening due to the lockdown. Foreign workers are jobless, it causes more crimes like robbing, snatching, fighting, and dispute. They need food, money to survive and perhaps feed their family. We are not advised to go out, more havoc could happen in a quiet alley or even open street.

Fortunately, my family members are safe. My dad is worry about his job, he is a stockbroker, he is trying to work from home but the stock market is bad.

Resetting our lifestyle - Stay creative

To me, nothing is more important than getting rid of being sick and ill. Everyone should avoid visiting the clinics, let the infected people have the priority aids.

Encouraging my friends and family, this pandemic might affect our job, our lifestyles, restraining us from our daily activities, but it also a good time for us to stay home, to read, to spend time with family. Learn to cook, lessen outside food, learn how to survive at home and find pastime activities.

Save our life first

Stress and worries are unnecessary. Resetting, replan our life, learn how to deal with the crisis, dealing with our emotions are more crucial. Be patient the bad times will eventually mellow down and gone, it just takes time. Life is precious, every day we lose some people, we have to stay calm and stay fit. Worries and anxiety will only weaken our immune system.

Lastly, read more, sing more, paint more. Do anything that is therapeutic. Outdoor activities are good too, remember to also wear a mask, and practice social distancing.
