It is all about the finish!
It is all about the finish. Life, and about anything else, is about how you finish the race!
Anyone can start a race, new career path or a new marketing campaign; But what is your journey to the end goal? And more importantly , HOW DO YOU FINISH?
Know one remembered all my races I started in primary school, except the 1200m race I won three years running at our yearly school inter house competitions. It is because I paced myself til the last lap, then I gave it horns! I ended up winning with 50m between me and the nearest rival.
My coached screamed at me when I passed him my final lap saying "you kicked to soon, slowed down" , but I did not, i stepped up the pace and destroyed the field. Every time I wanted to quite because it hurt, I remembered, my competitors are feeling the same burn and pain. I just had to keep it up long enough for them to give up on their hopes of catching me!
Today my first site was recognised by Google, It ii just a template for now and the same as all the other sites that was created by newbies like myself, but the difference will be how my site will look at the end after I have made it one kick ass site!
The key I believe is, hard work, believe in yourself, have Faith in the father above and have FUN while doing it!

Very well said Willem, it's not how we start the race but how we finish. There maybe a lot of hurdles and obstacles along the way but we just have to keep on running the race because the price is waiting at the finish line.
I wish you a successful journey with Wealthy Affiliate.

I like your attitude. I'm a bit of a spurter, will take your advise and finish the race.
Cheers Jae
Hello Jae
I am glad I motivated you, funny story, I got my wife into running marathons and she has managed to complete an ultra marathon and had to drop out of the race due to medical reasons.
I thus also I have at least one more race I need to complete.

The journey is just as important as your destination, mostly because a website is a living thing. It grows, it changes, as you grow and change. If you develop a website then stop working on it, it dies. Readers want to see recent content. The only way to provide them with that is to keep writing.
Otherwise, you have the right idea! Believe in yourself, have faith and have fun!
Hi
Thanks for the advice, I am a sort of a perfectionist, so that site will never be finished. I suppose you should take it one click at a time.
Keep it current and don't fix it, if it is not broken.

Exactly! I'm much the same way. I try to hard to make things perfect sometimes and get in my own way.

Great attitude! I was a two miler and cross county runner all through high school so I understand pacing yourself to make a great finish. We are constantly evolving our site to get the right look and feel to present our articles and products. It is a moving target but eventually we will stop tweaking the design and focus our efforts on creating more meaningful content for our customers.
Wishing you a joyous holiday season and successful journey!
