First Step Into A New Life
Hello! My name is Chris, I have been training in wealthy affiliate for about a month now. I started a dog business, have a website up and running, and am starting to fill it up with content. I am enjoying seeing some progress with the site but I realize I have much to learn and do to make my business successful.
My biggest issue so far is just making my website aesthetically pleasing and adjusting the widgets/menus. I have taken steps to make my site prettier, but there is much work to be done.
I came to wealthy affiliate because I'm tired of the grind. I spent most of my life bouncing from one dead end job to the next with no real purpose. Joining wealthy affiliate was a choice to forge a different path, where I can build a career and have purpose all at the same time.
The first goal I would like to accomplish in the next year is autonomy. I would like to make enough money from my business that I don't need another job just to make ends meet. I want to live a life where I can set my own schedule, make my own decisions, and control my own destiny.
Once I am able to live life on my own terms, I have bigger goals of increasing my business, creating more businesses, and ultimately I would like to contribute more to helping people inside wealthy affiliate to pay back for affording me this opportunity. This is it. This is why I'm here. Cheers all!

Hey Chris, one of the in house experts here (Eric) has an excellent series on Mastering Wordpress that I recommend that you work your way through. Here is class #1 in the series: Get Started with Wordpress I highly recommend that you work your way through this. The aesthetic will also naturally come together as you build out your website, but this will give you a lot of expertise in terms of logos, widgets, menus, design side elements, etc...as you move forward. :)
This is the area that I feel I need the most work, so I will definitely be watching this! Thanks for the heads up!
