Happy to be HERE!
Hi everyone!
It’s a fabulous day to report on the progress I’ve made since joining WA.
Help! I’m Desperate
Six months ago, on a late cold Saturday night, while searching for a legit online work opportunity, I stumbled upon Wealthy Affiliate. At the time, I was working 60+ hour weeks onsite plus another 20+ hours via phone managing a memory care community.
Don’t get me wrong, I love my residents dearly. But the burnout had me over a barrel. I was disgusted with my corporate bosses and having difficulty (due to the holidays and being located in between 2 universities) finding good employees and keeping them long enough to make the cost of training them worth it.
I wasn’t sleeping and went around with a headache most of the time. Being on call 24/7/365 for 4 years had exhausted me.
My biggest peeve was making other people rich at the expense of my mental, physical and financial health.
Too Good to Be True?
We are all very much aware of the 8 zillion work from home and become a billionaire by noon tomorrow opportunities. How insulting! I wasn’t born yesterday! So, there had to be at least one opportunity among the garbage I was perusing that presented an honest program (i.e requiring hard work and time to build a solid online business and one that provided clear and concise and useable raining to do so).
I read the information on WA, hoping it was different. My interest was piqued. It sounded legit. I wanted it to be legit. I needed it to be legit.
Was it too good to be true? Or had I just hit the jackpot, found the mother load?!!!
I think many of you reading this know all too well the feelings and hopes I had.
The Click I Won’t Forget or Regret
I joined, determined to give it my best shot.
Unfortunately, my managing job took up too much time, and I didn’t start WA training until 6-7 weeks ago. That’s okay though, I’m on a fast track now. And I LOVE creating content for my own niche and posting on my own website!
I giggle to myself every time I login to my site!
A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes...
As a young child, my grandmother and grandma taught me to crochet. I’m sure they thought it would one day become a lost art. But it is a growing niche, and one in which I am going to thrive!
Mycrochet4baby.com website, when more mature, will be a place for me to discover and create new patterns and examples of crocheted baby items (e.g. afghans, hats, booties, dresses, sweaters, costumes, wigs, nursery decorations, vintage), give advice and tips, provide visitors with links and resources for supplies (e.g. yarn, hooks, patterns, storage), ready-made items to purchase, and to learn skills and ideas from others.
I look forward to building good relationships with visitors. My overall goal is to encourage/support others to love crocheting just as much as I do.
So, Where Am I and Where Am I Going?
My progress to date:
- First 2 courses completed, plowing through 3.
- Premium member, loving the resources!
- Own my domain, I’m so proud!
- A beautiful website, mycrochet4baby.com
- Learning new skills and valuable information everyday from encouraging, helpful, genuine people (YOU).
- Finally taking the steps to freedom and security; not slaving for someone else’s bank account.
I still have a long way to go, but know I will succeed. My goals are attainable because I have been given the tools to build my own business and have realistic expectations.
Some Goals:
- Create 3 content-rich articles using low hanging fruit keywords every week. (I’ve spent the better part of this week searching for and saving keywords and phrases, finding photos, charts and diagrams, selecting affiliate programs, and preparing examples of my crochet work so I can just begin writing and posting).
- Be more active on WA--specifically, to interact with other members via chat and reviewing websites, and give positive encouragement daily.
- By next year at this time, have a great website that sees steady traffic.
I’m optimistic and willing to work hard at this venture. Awesome experiences ahead….
Success to you all,
~Tammy

Good to hear!!! Don't forget to build another niche or two which can replace the income you need with the hours you have to do... keep going!
