Hello buddies!

I am not writing that much in my blog: actually, this is only my 2nd post... But the fact is that I preferred focusing on building up the essential frame of my first website, with a dozen of posts and some links to affiliate program. Now I can say that the website is established and I have "only" to go on adding quality content... In my previous post in this blog I wrote that my goal for the end of Semptember was to achieve precisely what I have accomplished at mid of September: so I am respecting my milestones and I shoul be happy of that!

Now I am even starting a new website, dedicated to artworks and handymades: my wife is an artist and I want to try selling her awsome works! You may even say that I'm morally bound to do that, right? ;-)

Well, today I want to share with you some pieces of my latest post on my website. In this post I wrote about why and how I came across Wealthy Affiliate. Apparently its subject seems out-of-topic in a website that deals with the Law of Attraction, but actually it isn't...

^^^^^

" [...] Actually, the Law of Attraction of Wealthy Affiliate is about my personal my story of failure and (hopefully) success: the story of a man who needs and intensely wants to re-build his own career, connecting his deepest intellectual and spiritual interests with a home-based business opportunity, namely, affiliate marketing programs.

" One of the firsts rules you are taught about positive thinking is never say negative sentences, as even if they are true, they will attract more negativity upon you. But how can I describe a failure? “Not such a success”? It’s ridicolous, isn’t it? So, let’s face things as they are, and let’s call failure a failure.

" My career failure

" My career was actually a failure. I am an Architect, or better, I used to be an Architect, until two and a half years ago, when the Company where I had been employed for seven years, went bankrupt (I would add “fraudulent”, but I can’t…). As dozens of my colleagues I lost my job and now I am living with an unemployment benefit, hoping to recover, at least partially, six salaries 'frozen' in the bankruptcy of the Company.

" But the real failure is not losing my job: the real failure is the impossibility to re-enter the job market for the current Italian economical situation (simply dreadful), and, worst of all, for a man who is over 50’s without a tremendous specific curriculum vitae. Here is the problem, my real career failure: I have never cultivated my career, preferring thinking, studying, researching, writing, meditating, self-helping, family caring… everything but career.

" Of course I had been working all the time — I mean, until two and a half years ago. But my mind was not there: it was somewhere else evermore, pursuing his deepest interests. The Law of Attraction states that your reality has to be created in your mind, earlier than in the material world: thus, it was my own very attitude to create the conditions that are currently preventing me to find a new job as an Architect: this is the truth of my career failure.

" Finding a new career path

" Actually, in the last ten years it has become more and more clear to me, that I had to change something in my life, that I couldn’t go on for much with my body in a place and my mind in another. I had to find a new solution that put together my real, deep interests with the need to earn a living. I tried with stock market, and it was a black hole that still hurts me. Effectively, it couldn’t work, because I am not really interested in finance.

" So, it became clear to me that I had to find a way to earn a living through my interests, and where else but on the internet? A home-based work would have reconciled my interests, family caring and earning a living. Still, how to do it? After spending the last two and a half years striving on that, I was about to give up and say to myself that I wasn’t able to do that.

" But as often happens, it’s when you touch the bottom that the solution shows up: not earlier. So, after endless researches and attempts, at the end of July I came across Wealthy Affiliate, and after a short trial I realized instead that I could do that. Indeed, I would do that for sure.

" Nothing happens by chance. My career failure had to come, just to pull me out of the wrong path and push me into the right one. [..] "

^^^^^

End of the piece. My post did not intend to be a proper review of Wealthy Affiliate; but, of course, I concluded by heartily recommending to join it.

Well, I just wanted to tell everybody my personal story, because somebody could find it useful; and some WAers may even recognize themselves in it!

Best wishes to all, friends.

Loris

Hi Loris. I can so relate to your post. I signed up with WA a while back but to date have been dragging my feet on getting through the training, however your post has just given me the push to get started, which I fully intend to do when I get back in from work this evening. I love my job as a community nurse but sadly it doesn't earn me much. Cheers Mairead

Thank you Mairead, and keep on!
Cheers.
