My First Blog- October 15, 2018
My very first blog – ever..
I joined Wealthy Affiliates on October 12, so I've been doing this for about two days. On the second day I pulled an all-nighter and worked my way through lesson two – that's why I'm doing the blog.
After the first 24 hours I ponied up the $19 for the first month. This has been challenging, to say the least. I know it sounds like a cliché, but I never dreamed that I could actually do this. Yes, it's been challenging, its hard work, but it's fun and I enjoy it. Just in the last 48 hours, I've discovered that things take about three times as long as I estimate. Things go wrong; you run into roadblocks that you don't know how to bypass (ah, computers..), and life in general just tends to get in the way of my plans. I have already learned to adjust my expectations for the time being- set my monetary goals lower, and put more time aside to work. At the same time, I've surprised myself by what I've been able to do because I didn't think it was possible for a guy like me. I enjoy writing and composition, and find that most enjoyable, especially when I receive so much support from other members. It's very gratifying.
I am very pleasantly surprised by this entire course. It is the genuine article, with no BS involved. The quality of training far exceeds what I expected. Support from staff and members is remarkable.
The niche that I have chosen for myself is affordable electric guitar gear. This generally would include inexpensive or affordable (read "cheap") electric guitars and special effects units like wahwah pedals and overdrive stomp boxes, etc. From doing my first keyword searches I realized that I actually had a chance to make a success of this. There is a lot of good quality equipment available to the musician that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, and it's that musician that I'm working for.
I'm hoping that I can quickly attain a measure of success that will allow me to help others on the same path. What goes around comes around. I'm very pleasantly surprised at the amount of support that I'm already receiving from complete strangers. Offers of help abound at every turn.
I am fortunate in that I am retired, and have enough time to devote to this endeavor. I think tonight is going to be another all-nighter.. Truth be told, I want to get to the profit parts!

Hi William welcome! I feel the same way, I've been here for three weeks and I am blown away by the support and the great training programme.
