My Experience with technology, internet and scams

Let me confess it right at the beginning: I am still struggling with the finer detail of the technology and the internet. We were never good friends, but I am willing to learn as much as possible from these wonderful phenomena that opens the world by making it flat.

Since I came across WA I really begin to understand the functioning of websites as well as the relationship between google and website-development. However, let me start with how my road crossed with that of WA in my search to establish an online business.

When I got closer to retirement age, I started looking for the opportunity to start an online business. Needless to say that my ignorance and the masterful exploitation of the internet scam gurus took a lot of money out of my pocket.

Searching for the gold mine

One thing that I knew for sure is that it could not be that in this world wide web is only the bad, the bad and the bad. Surely that must also be the honest, reputable and the ones with integrity. I continued searching and came across a video-conversation between two gentlemen (can't remember their names) on YouTube. They mentioned their failures, but especially boasted about their online successes.

Just before I encountered an internet interruption, they mentioned it just by the way, that their success was due to an online business called, "Wealthy Affiliate" made. I remembered the name, but immediately thought that maybe it's one of the strategies that scammers support each other.

However, after weeks of careful consideration I decided to give this "Wealthy Affiliate" a try. It hooked me from the very beginning and it was not the possibility to make money on line, but it was the honesty, integrity and the spirit of koinonia in WA that struck me. WA became the light and the WA -community the helping hand to take me to the top (see picture)

Today I can wholeheartedly say that I do not regret my decision for one moment. The training is simply exceptional although sometimes really overwhelming for someone like me. Although my progress is not where I want it to be, due to particular challenges, I am very proud for what I achieved so far. It's a matter of: "Slowly, but surely."

I now know without a doubt: I found my Gold Mine!.

My priority: Making money or acquire knowledge through training to build my business

I am so glad that I did not make "the making of money" my first priority. My wealth /gold is currently due to the fact that I really begin to understand the following concepts for the first time: niche, keyword, keyword-rich content, URL, themes, domain, etc. etc.

And best of all, of course, I was able to build my own website with the help of the training provided by the WA-community as a whole. As I said earlier, it is not what I wanted it to be, but it's MINE and I built it MYSELF with the help of my WA-community and the tools provided to me.

My personal Appreciation

My personal appreciation is and will always be towards Kyle and Carson (plus my two YouTube friends) for the vision they have had to address a global need for an online training business of this nature honestly. And then to you my WA-community. You are simply amazing! Thank you.

Personal Achievements

So far I achieved the following:

• built my website, Monitoring Our Babies
  
• almost completed Level 2 training
• wrote four articles of which all 4 have been indexed by google
• currently in network with 145 family members
• develop a better understanding of google and google+
• accepted a google+ URL
• built up WA circle of friends

Immediate Challenges

My "About William" and "Private Policy" have not been indexed yet. I think it should be indexed. I will however work harder on this if needs be. Maybe "Monitoring Our Babies" (about baby monitors) is a bit limited, but I just have to pull through and make it work.

Missing the WA-community?

Definitely! Recently I found out that as soon as I am too long away from the computer, specifically from the WA-community, I tend to be in a hurry to get online as soon as possible. I believe I miss especially the interaction with the WA-family and the progress they help me make in building and setting up my online business. It is definitely time to enjoy it.

Dreaming on...

I have been to the service of vulnerable people, in particular, for 30 years. Now I am looking forward to the day when I can realize my myriad of dreams through my online business also to the benefit of those vulnerable people. "I can dream, can't I ?"
