My One Month Update!
I have officially been a part of the WA community for a month now and I must say it has been a great exepereince! I knew before I started what the general idea of internet marketing or affiliate marketing was, you know build a website, get traffic, make sales right!! What I didnt know was, how to do all of that.
In my first month I have went through the Green Certification course and built my site. So I went from not knowing anything to actually owning my on little piece of the World Wide Web. In this first month I have built my site up to 4 pages with a total of 17 articles or posts. I have joined 3 affiliate programs and promoting their products on my site. No I havent made the first commission yet and to be honest I didnt expect to this early in the game. I finally came to the realization that it takes time, I now understand what it is be an authority with in your niche. When you get to that level I am certain the money side of things will take of its self.
I struggled to write my posts in the begining not because I didnt know what I wanted to say, but because I didnt know how to say it. Now as a little time has passed by and the more I do it, the easier it is becoming. I understand that content really is king when it comes to google and other search engines. I dont really have an exact word count I try to hit, although the majority of my posts are over 1000 words. I just try to make my content realavent to my keywords and let it flow. Which is one of the main things that Kyle talks about multiple times in the course.
Which brings me to this, this is what I think to be the best training or teaching of internet marketing!!! You get the great certification course, a community of amazing people that will help you in anyway they can if you just ask. You build your sites here and they are hosted here which takes care of alot of problems. The information provided here is second to none and is available at such a great value to us all. Knowing this is going to be the reason I will begin building my second site here in the next moth or so after I get a few more things going on my first one. I would like to add atleast 20 more posts to it before I start working on another site, hopefully by then I will be seeing a decent amount of traffic coming to it.
So there you have it my first month at the Wealthy Affiliate, and I am sure I will have many more firsts the longer I stay here. If you are new here and I cant stress this enough, GET RID OF THE SHINY OBJECT SYNDROME. Stop searching for the next best thing and follow the training as it is laid out for you, ask questions and do the work!!!

Like all of the resources here, your words just confirm for us we made the right choice joining WA (we're in our 1st week...!) It's so nice to hear you're able to allow yourself to 'go with the flow'. We have the same attitude simply because of the rewarding feeling that goes along with knowing we're quietly working toward a life-changing goal.
