Sooooooo much

Man, it's sso much to manage and understand with everything that I have going on with my site. So far, I am managing it all but, I swear, every day that I wake up, I have so much more to do and learn than I anticipated before I went to sleep.

My intention and understanding every night before I go to sleep is that things will be less cumbersome than the day before and it will go in the exact opposite direction every single time. It's not a major issue as I'm unable to manage everything so far but, I must say, it seems as if every task I accomplish, I wake up to about 3 more to accomplish.

I'm just saying, no one told me that the task of managing your own business was equivilent to killing a hydra: cut off one head and 3 more sprout in its place. It's ok, again, I'm managing it all so far. It just felt good to be able to vent with others who mist likely have an idea of what I'm referring to.

I appreciate anyone that took the time out of their day to read and comment on my rant. Thank you.

I completely understand what you mean. I do feel things can get out of control for my online work at some points in time, but fortunately have managed to keep my sanity. :-)

I have a habit of writing down the tasks to be accomplished into a notebook, so that I can get on with my other chores and other areas of my life, and get back to them when I'm ready. This helps me cope better.

And when I see friends around me who are building up brick and mortar businesses, I feel overwhelmed with relief that at least what I'm doing is very low cost, and hence low risk. My mountain of tasks seem not so daunting anymore when I see the amount of customer issues and supplier problems that they have to deal with.

And that is why we must all stay strong and persevere in our online businesses. The beginning is the toughest. You will get through this phase and emerge better off.

Keep ranting here whenever you need to! It's the place where people will understand.

Yes, William, take it easy. Focus and persevere. Take action each day.

Yes, William, and moreover that is like it is in almost any business that you start! I've had a locksmith business going on 30 years and there is always something to do to maintain it!

Jeff

Exactly. I’m glad I was able to settle on a topic that really has my attention for my niche. Granted, my mind is still all over the place with ideas but at least it’s maintained better than it was before I had settled on a niche.

My mind is more so full or ideas that I can’t wait to dive into as opposed to not knowing what to do, though. Just anxious to get things further along than they are but I’m maintaining my patience. That may actually be my next mindset topic within my site because it seems to have come up quite often for me as of late.

I guess I got some research to do to get ready for next week. Thank you for your comment.

The niche is usually the most difficult to determine!

Jeff

Hey, William,

I just finished Level 5 OEC, and my one piece of advice is just to keep your head down and do the next right thing.

Follow the Training and just like you wouldn't jump ahead two levels, don't let your mind race ahead. Focus on that ONE. NEXT. TASK.

I guarantee it will focus you, calm you, and give you the progress you want. Tell yourself, I'll get this ONE task done today, and if you finish it by lunchtime or by midnight, it's a win.

Keep at it. You're gonna do great.

Howard

P.S. and reach out to me and others like this when you need help.

You're definitely right. I have a tendency to jump ahead and that thought jumps me years ahead of where my mindset should be.

I've been doing as you suggested, though, sticking with the trainings to avoid getting ahead of myself. It's keep me on track, focused, and able to manage situations as they appear.

I admit that I still jump ahead a bit but, I will say that when I do, as I research and figure out how to manage the situation I'm in, it brings me right back to where I was when I left off in my training. I just hate that it takes away so much time before I realize my best bet should've been to just stick with the planned training schedule and I would be fine.

I feel it's all for the best in the long run, though. I have to see it that way, personally. Otherwise, I'd have to debate over my sanity considering I make the same blunder so consistently. Hence the definition of insanity: repeating an action that's been considered to be invaluable. Just my weird way of hyping myself up.

All in all, thank you for the comment. Pride makes it difficult for me to reach out but, thus, the reason for this post. Thank you again for reaching out.

For sure, William. For many of us, reaching out is difficult (myself included, and I'm an old fart!).

But like I said, just look at the next task, give yourself a timeline to accomplish it, and focus on it and only it.

Cheers.
