Have I Finally Found the Right Place to Thrive?
Greetings!
I'd like to send out a quick message to the community about my progress on Wealthy Affiliates over the past two and a half months.
At first, I was having problems writing long (1000+ word) posts. Writing them took forever. I wondered how I'd ever be able to succeed in a business model that depended on producing lots of content. It turns out I was simply out of the habit of writing, and some very wise WA members advised me that faster, more productive writing sessions would come with time and practice. And they have!
I'm starting to get excited that I may have finally found the right outlet for my weird combination of personality traits, interests, preferences, abilities, and work habits.
I appreciate the work environment (platform) and colleagues (all of you) compared with other settings where I've worked in the past.
I feel as if I'm laying the groundwork for my future success in a helpful, supportive community.
Watch this space because eventually, something big will be happening here.
(And I wish the same for every other WA member.)
All the best,
Wendy

Hi Wendy, such an inspirational piece. I too have struggled with writing content. It really does help the more write, that's why you can't give up.
So true about not giving up. Every day we here, we're laying more of the foundation of our business. I'm glad to hear writing is getting easier for you too. I wish you great success!
All the best,
Wendy
True Wendy the more you write the better your hold on the power of the word. As most here say "Mileage" is important.
Look at me Wendy, I still don't have the writing skills necessary to get good at it, but I'm writing a hell of a lot more than before. lols.
Didn't mean to make it appear as a joke, but I do want to say the more I write the "flow" is a lot better.
imho Wendy thanks for that delightful post. You rock!

Hi Frank,
Thanks for your great response. I especially like your comment that mileage is important. I won't forget that.
All the best,
Wendy
Y'know Wendy it applies to anything..anything. I am a caricature artist, don't mean to promote me but I want to share a "real" point that applies to your awesome post.
This, to me is not opinion, to me it is fact.
Several years ago I was convinced by my good friend to go back to do caricatures for parties. That was 5 years ago. For some it may seem a long time.
Well, I took his advice. At the time Wendy I went on the internet, design my own website and marketed my business.
The story I want to share is Wendy, my drawings are not even near to how it look now. In fact, 5 years ago you could not make out any similarities.
Remember I said you need "mileage" well it applies, to me, to anything you want to achieve or maybe "get better at."
I was unsure or insecure and my confidence on myself was always in question. I mean my belief of myself stayed in the same
cubby hole I put myself in.
BUT and that's a big BUTTT,
when I continued to work at my skill, WHADAHH-YOU-KNOW,
I got better. How did I know that? It wasn't me that knew this,
my audience noticed it. Comments like, "Wow! He's so fast and the accuracy is on point."
I started to hear more and more, was I aware. Not really Wendy only that I knew I started to change the way I drew and by doing I started to see a "structure" to my drawing and smoothly got to where I didn't think of "hoping they like it."
I used to say to them after handing their caricature, "I hope you like it!" That was 5 years ago.....now I say, "WOW! YOU LOOK GORGEOUS! or YOU'RE A HANDSOME BUY!" etc.
Do I appear confident, yep!
Why you think is that?
MILEAGE, Wendy!
Take care!

Another great endorsement of what happens here and how members help.
I find that my writing is ok speed wise but I dilly dally over the finer points of images and the final look. But that's just me.
Thanks for the support! I'm sure the time you spend on the look of your posts isn't wasted. The look is so important in the immediate impression, isn't it? Great to get your feedback!
All the best,
Wendy
I'm happy to hear your progress Wendy. It's always a little overwhelming learning new skills. But if you stick with it and ask for help it gets better. And that's why I referred you to WA.
I knew you would get the same support and guidance I have gotten over the decade I've been here.

Way to go, Wendy! That's awesome!
I'm finding the same thing...the more I write the faster I get my ideas on paper.
I'm so glad writing is going faster for you too. Thanks for your support!
All the best,
Wendy
