"Are you open for coffee?"

"I have got something amazing to share with you, can we go out for coffee at 18:00 tonight?"

I just received such a message from a friend we last talked on December 2018. Although he is my friend on Facebook and other social platforms, he has never even liked or commented on my posts.

When i saw this message, I just thought to myself, he must have recently joined another network marketing business opportunity and definitely I am in his top 100 namelist. I must be, because we were together in a network marketing business opportunity which allowed us to take 20 holidays in just two years before the COVID-19.

His message also reminded me the commitment we had towards the company in building networks and attending the training.

Network marketing gave me a great idea about running a business and finding a why of living. I actually enjoyed the trainers and the entertainment including the social one made in these joints.

3 Simple Rules of Success

Rule 1: Pay Attention

Rule 2: Get Excited

Rule 3: Never Quit

Whether it is network marketing, affiliate marketing or what is known to be a conventional business, the formula of success is the same.

After the collapse of this company and lot of people have quit, I remembered the words of Dr Raymond Charles Barker in his book, "The Power of Decision", Problems don't build you but ideas do.

Since the fall of two of the network marketing companies I had joined, I began to seek for ideas which I am able to control, which will continually sustain my income and help me impact the world.

Affiliate marketing is not exempt to the impact of COVID 19, but it actually assisted us to create more content and be ambassadors of change and hope.

"Adversity cause others to crumble, while others break records"

"Don't blame the winds and the storms, but learn to adjust your sail" - Jim Rohn

#1-Paying Attention

Whatever gets your time, gets your life.

Attention is costly because it wants all of you. I have come to realize that whatever gets my attention actually growls better and more exciting. Just like the mint placed at the door, it gets water regularly and continue to yield manifold. I bought the mint leaves from the shop and decided to plant a stem which has now become a mint garden.

Pay attention to your goals, time, actions and results. The cost of attention is the love for what you are doing. Even if you don't like it, at times, the love will develop as you become better with it.

#2-Get Excited

I was listening to Marissa peer audio about "Making what is familiar unfamiliar", and learned the importance of the choice of words. She alludes that each word carries a certain frequency and generates some chemical reaction in our bodies which in turn affect our feelings.

How do you do something you don't like?

Simply say "I choose to research my keywords for my website"

"I love to research and use Jaaxy in finding the best keywords for all my articles"

"I really enjoy using Jaaxy research tools because it makes my website standout"

Does if really work saying these words?

Getting excited about your online, offline or your work will actually make you happier. Several books that I read last year

"Happiness advantage: The seven principles of positive psychology that fuels success"-Shaw Anchor

"How to stop the habit of being yourself"-Dr Joe Dispenza

"How The Body that knows its Mind"- Beilock Sean

All these books explains the power of happiness and present cases of most successful people being those who had found or employed the happiness pill in their lifestyle.

I have proven this concept at our car wash business we launched this year, when we introduced a happy face when serving our customers. The staff is happy and so our customers and we got a lot of referrals for washing and detailing cars.

#3-Never Quit

This may be somehow controversial rule of the three. Most people who got breakthroughs have quit somewhere and started somewhere.

My leader who used to chant this slogan, quit the company and joined the other company.

I don't know how do you understand the never quitting part or rule.

In my case, never quit means never give up your goals or settle for less. The idea you are working on may not be the right vehicle but a new idea will emerge which will lead you to the realization of your dreams.

Maybe you may have to quit a company but never quit your dreams.

When I just remembered these rules I found myself laughing.

Maybe you had different rules in your business or being part of a network marketing business you may share.

I never have trouble with getting excited and I sure don't like to quit , but sometimes paying attention is an issue. Jim

Hey Jim, I really appreciate your compliments. I also share that habit of paying attention. I think I suffer from the drifting habit but I am working on it.

Happy Thanksgiving Times

*** Wonderful blog post -- so did you end up going for coffee?

Appreciate your sharing here today ... all the best, cheerio ... :)) ***

Thanks a lot Keishalina, I actually knew he wanted me to see a presentation and requested that he send me a zoom link of the new product and business opportunity. It does not harm to see someone’s gig especially from a friend.

Wishing you all the best in this thanksgiving season.

Kind Regards, Welcome

oh appreciate your follow-up reply ...

well, if you know the person well enough, i suppose ...

just be well-informed ...

there's lots of 'bait 'n switch' and enticements via social media to have you and your hard-earned $$ departed on a 'one-way' street ...

keep well, all the very best ... :))

Great 3 points to maintain focus. Love that Jim Rohn quote.

Very true words, Welcome!

Jeff

Thanks a lot Stanley, for your compliments and encouragement. Jim Rohn is my mentor and have learned a lot from his talks and teachings.

Best with your thanksgiving time and wishing you good health as we weathering the covid-19 fourth wave.

Welcome Moeng.

A lot of people quit too early, they chase $$$'s instead of doing the work, I like the old story about the guy that quit 3 feet from Gold.
Never give up
Joe

Thanks a lot Joebhoy, that is the truth that some people quit too early or their focus is on the $$$$… for us in South Africa $1 is a multiple of 16 and you can imagine if someone tell you you will earn just $1000 a month. I also guess that network marketers are not presenting the truth of the business and maintain honest sharing.

That story of the man who was 3 feet from gold by Napoleon Hill is really encouragement and some positive stories. At times quitting may be change of plan and not really quitting your dreams.

Never Quit!

These are good rules to follow. Thank you for the encouragement. I needed that.
Barbara

Thank you Barbara, I appreciate your compliments and encouragement. Our teachers are everywhere and they appear in various forms.

Wishing you all the best during this festive season.

Welcome.
