Today Has Been A BEE Day

Hello again and thank you for joining me today. This post is not really related to anything to do with this blog I just wanted to share this little story with you. Today started out, as usual, I got on the computer and started to try to get somewhere with clearing emails. I really did not get the results I was hoping for with the task, however.

I need to get myself organized and would have been much better off if I had listened to some advice I was given a while back. One of my mentors advised starting a complete list of all the program details and products bought for my business. Needless to say, I kept putting it off and now I am so confused about what program goes with what receipt.

After spending all morning and most of the afternoon trying to clarify my purchases and products with very little progress I decided to try to add to my websites. Again this did not turn out to be productive either and I became even more frustrated as the day progressed.

My next brilliant idea was to go outside and work in the yard. Now by this time, it was late afternoon and the heat and humidity were just about to max out for the day but no big problem to me as I can take it. I decided to clean up the really tall grass and weeds that ran along the outside portion of my yard so I started the push mower and started cutting.

Everything was going just fine for about ten minutes and then all of a sudden I felt something very familiar to me as I am allergic to them, BEE’S. These bees must have a hive in the ground as I started getting stung by numerous bees even as I ran back to the house. I finally made it inside the back room and realized I was still being stung.

Some of the bees had crawled into my clothes so I stripped down to my underwear in an attempt to get rid of the rest of them. This should be the end of the story however it isn’t. The true end is I am suffering from numerous stings but the punch line is [ while I was standing in the backroom in my underwear I got a final sting on my but as an ending from the BEES ]. This ends my day if you get my drift.

Wowee Wayne what a day you had! I would say, though, that this particular addition to your website has indeed been very productive and entertaining.
Take care
Laurie

Sorry to "butt" in, but I'm laughing at your description of your day, and I'm also wishing you well! A bee sting is no joke. Those things hurt!

What happens when you're allergic to bees and you get stung by many of them? You didn't end up at the hospital, or it's not that serious of a reaction?

- Christina

Luckily no I was somewhat ok. My reaction to these bee stings is bad swelling and itching for days after. These were small bees if they had been wasps or hornets I could have been in real trouble.
If your allergic you can go into shock and there are no Epipins available anywhere.
Thanks and glad you got a laugh, Wayne

Hi Wayne, man don't those things make you mad? I ran a produce stand one summer about 4 years ago and we picked up some produce baskets that were stacked one day and the entire hive attacked about four of us. I had stings everywhere.

I'm glad you make it out of it ok.

Cal

So you spent the afternoon running around the backyard in you underwear catching a buzz? Been there, done that. lol

Mark

... ya -- musta been a real 'bummer!' .... lol ... chuckles --- sorry no pun really intended ... :)

Hi Wayne,

I'm so sorry about the bee stings hoping you are ok..

Sorry again as I'm picturing this and LMAO getting enjoyment out of your pain, I laughed out loud after reading the last part of the bee sting in the butt and ends your day.

I hope tomorrow is a much better day for you.

Take Care,

Sue :)

Geez -- just a few moments ago, there was a 'juvenile' bee that was sitting on the inside of the window sill here ... so i got my 'bug jar' and got him in it easily and took him out to the garden and let him fly free away ... -- he kinda did a fly past back and then zoomed off! ...

funny of how we encountered them today -- peace!

we do need our bee 'poliinator' friends around the world for our fruits, veggies and flowering plants ... and of course, honey!

hope you're ok from the stings?! ...

keep well & thanks kindly for sharing / posting today! ... :)

(p.s. no pun intended but that must have been a 'bummer!')

I am ok thanks. I am allergic to them; however, these were the small ones also. I would have been in serious trouble if they were the big hornets that we see buzzing around here.
With no EpiPens available, it is a real possibility of severe conditions, even death, so it is not something to take lightly.
I have swelling and itching were stung at least five times and will probably take several days for it to clear up.
Thank You for the reply. Wayne
