Sidetracked and Lost Focus
I joined back in January of this year and should be so much further with my progress here at WA. This brings up the question of why am I so far behind, after all I was even chosen to participate in SAC this year.
Well the answer is simple yet complicated??? How can it be both simple and complicated at the same time? Let me try to answer this quizzical question.
Very simply I lost focus on this whole program here at Wealthy Affiliate. Like so many others before me I wanted some return on my investment, and was not willing to commit to the work needed to build my site.
I used all the excuses of not being a writer, takes too long to research, I can't make videos. Just so many things needed to be done, the training alone takes so much time and then to have to do everything to apply it! As if all that isn't enough add in life itself, medical issues, family problems how do you find the time to do anything?
So what did I do in the mean time of not working here at Wealthy Affiliates? I suspect the same as many other members that dropped out.
I went looking for the easy way out, trying all sorts of "Done For You Programs". Lets just say this about them, at least the ones I tried, they do not work. They do not write content, articles, or reviews that are going to instantly make your site a traffic magnet. I spent a lot of money and yes a lot of my time trying to find something that would take the place of me having to do the work.
The simple answer just gave way to the complicated part of my story, it actually is really funny as Kyle had just posted about this very same subject!
I got sucked in to another program that cost a ridicules amount of money and stretches the training over a year. This particular one is based on high ticket and sales funnels, with creating your own products to sell multiple copies time and again. I don't want to mention the name of the program to protect myself against any lawsuits.
The blog site I created is looking pretty good, however there still hasn't been any traffic to the blog. My question now is how far would I have been should I had chosen to just dig in and stay with my training here at WA?
To say that I believe, based on the success of the members who stayed with the training and the guidance of the SAC program, that I too would have reached many of my goals I set at the start of WA.
Currently I have 553 members in my network and have followed almost 2000 other members, and hope that everyone reads this post and listens to my WARNING, do not do what I have done!!!
Stay here, follow the training, complete the tasks as assigned and DO NOT QUIT.
Thank You, Wayne Miller

Preaching to the choir here, Wayne. I think most of us have been down similar roads. Still, you can't change the past but the future is a different 'kettle of fish'.
You're here now and that's what matters.

It takes what it takes, man. You are exactly where you are supposed to be. Press on. Worrying about where you would be won't get you there. Embrace where you are now.
