Emotions are powerful. Your mood determines how you interact with people, how much money you spend,how you deal with others and how you spend your time.

Getting control over your emotions will help you become mentally stronger. Any one can become better at regulating their emotions. Just like any other skill managing your emotions requirres practice and dedication

    The ability to experience and express emotions is morre important than you might realize.

    As the felt response to a given situation, emotions play a key role in your reactions. When you are in tune with them you have access to important knowledge that helps with

    • Decision making
    • Relationship success
    • Day 2 day interactions
    • Self care
    • Emotions that regularly get out of hand might to lead to

      • Relationship and friendship conflict
      • Difficulty relating to others
      • Trouble at work or school
      • An urge to use substances to help manage your emotions
      • Physical or emotional outbursts

      • Either can contrubute to mental and physical health symtoms including

        Anxiety

        Depression

        sleep issues

        Muscle tension and pain

        Difficulty managing stress

        Substance misuse

        Identify what you arre feeling

        Accept your emotions

        Keep a mood journal

        Take a deep breath

        Know when to express yourself

        Give yourslf some space

        Stay on top of stress

    We need to always be in control of our emotions and not the other way round

    When we are not in charge of our emotions they are a lot of self defeating behaviours can follow.

    This can result in an unhealthy mental health status which can prevent us from rational thinking and positive attitude.
