Hello everyone,
I was just taking stock of the last one year that I have been here at Wealthy Affiliate (WA). It has been great to learn, connect and learn from experienced people here at WA and elsewhere in my niche related topics.
I am still learning how to apply inbound marketing and to actually persuade people to buy my affiliate products or sign up to generate leads that eventually can become delighted customers. Everyday, I am learning something new and this calls for patience and patience to learn new concepts.
In October 2016, I will be receiving my first cheque of $300 and with hard work and dedication, I believe this is just the beginning of my new life in online business. So far, the website have helped generate 13 leads and one of these leads became a customer. The other 12 leads are yet to decide to become delighted customers.
The main challenge I have so far has been conversion. Through SEMRush, I can tell that my organic traffic for every month is averaging between 23-25 and from my google analytics the average web visits I get every month are ranging between 500 to 1000 which I believe that this traffic is from Google Plus, Twitter, Facebook and other social media platforms.

I have tried paid traffic on Facebook and Google, but I prefer to invest more time and energy to increase organic traffic and get more targeted traffic into the website. With increased organic traffic, I believe I will start to to see more and more conversions. However, I am thankful as so far I have seen gradual growth when it comes to organic traffic.
The organic traffic seem very low because my niche is one of those niches that has many players with high capital to invest, hence increasing competition. Also on average, I have been posting one blog per week and if this was my full-time job, I would probably be posting more blog posts (probably 12 blogs) every week to see more positive results.
Also, when I started as I had mentioned earlier, my learning curve was very steep and I had to learn everything from how to use a word press platform, including how to build a website, learn new marketing terminologies, and learn how to use different tools in my niche that were new to me. This took a lot of my time trying to go through a ton of information both here at WA and in my niche circles. For the last one year, it has been intensive learning for me, but I don't regret anything at all, because I have built capacity when it comes to computer technology and inbound marketing. I have also created great partnerships in my niche and attained cutting edge knowledge in my niche while engaging with resourceful online users.
So, what's the way forward? Since I have tested this concept and it is working, I intend to hone my writing skills and learn how I engage my audience. To engage my web visitors, I have started to build my email list for the website visitors. Also, I think a lot of people want to see value first, before they sign up for your services or products being offered to them. This is true with any customer, including us: anytime an offer is presented to most people, they want to know what is in it for them? Is what you are providing to them change their life in a positive way or why would they want to buy from you? and so on. In addition, i think I need to identify my ideal customers (persona) so that whatever content I produce, the customer can identify themselves with it.
My take in this whole process is that patience is needed to achieve success and for our dreams to come true. Success does not come overnight, but with learning, making mistakes and finally once you learn how to do it right, success will eventually come.
